"Where did everyone go last night - surely they were not all watching Arsenal? The £5,000 Predator Main missed by a ridiculous £1,160, & there were also misses in the Mini, £500 BH, £1,000 BH, Sheriff, 9 @ 9 & Turbo. Maybe time of month, I don't really know, but a reminder I suppose that Spring & Summer are on their way & the inevitable seasonal cycle has begun.
That underwhelming Main went to @Rstinson97 & to make his night he won his entry via a £7.20 satellite. Runner-up was a real blast from the past,@CoxyLboro who I last saw playing Cash at 235 Manchester a year or two ago. Chris has been with us since 2007 & seems to do OK at both cash & MTT's, & has been to Vegas with us.
@jkeeble won his first headline MTT in taking the Mini, although he's made a Mini Ft previously.
The Sheriff FT was the usual collection of big names, with @GFKIJKLL taking the top spot & the likes of @bigfatfish@MikeyW94@cabbaz& @SoLack all vying for the win, but there was one gatecrasher in the form of @Adam2101 who ran 2nd. He won a Mega a while back & made the FT of the Sunday night £6k BH in December, but that's about it as far as I can see.
@FeelGroggy won 9 @ 9 & ran 4th in the Main, & it's good to see him playing the MTT schedule here most nights. Annoyingly (for me) he seems to have blocked his Sharky stats, which makes life a bit awkward for me.
A week ago @Blainaboysran 2nd in Quickdraw then disappeared, only to return last night & win the Turbo, the third time he's won it inside a month. Was a real tough FT which included @NChanning in 5th, sadly he went home empty-handed.
@TOONGAZZA continued his sequence of winning the nightly £200 guaranteed PLO8 once a month, with @steveysee in 2nd.
7 @ 7 went to @SMck79who joined Sky Poker just a week ago & has only played a dozen MTT's. Solid start.
Two more players booked their passage to next week's SPT Brighton, @L_L_S_B & @Puzzyflaps, the latter being an alias which I'm quite sure would reduce Richard Orford to his usual juvenile giggles & comments.
£597 of overlay last night spread across 6 events, with the majority of it - £400 to be exact - coming from Summit. At the other end of the scale, the £30 Main missed by £20, which is roughly equal to two thirds of a player or one @MattBates. A much better day than this day last year though when Overlay topped £2,000, over £1,100 of which was from the Main.
What a February @Awokenis having. Started the month with a spectacular treble, winning Main, Sheriff & Reload. A slightly less theatrical performance last night, even so he won his second Main this month, & was 5th in Summit, 3rd in a £400 BH, 3rd in Turbo, & binked an All-In satellite to Mega. An excellent result for @PortVale93 who, single-tabling, ran 2nd. 3rd was @aj880who is a rare visitor to the MTT streets but a very big cash game player., Less than 0.5% of his action is in MTT's, even so, a few decent scores there including 2nd in a Sunday Major. Hotshots @FlynTimber & @grinddd were 5th & 6th. Arguably the standout result was@gixxerk4 in 6th. He has an ABI of less than a fiver & only plays big stuff if he wins a satellite. And that's exactly how it panned out, he won a £3.60 Direct Sat & ended up going home with over £220. Almost enough to buy himself a new Callaway Driver.
The Mini went the way of @grandpabak who appears to be something of a Mini specialist - it was his second Gold Rush Mini title, he's also won Mini Major, Mini Predator, & a Mini PRIMO & even a Mini UKOPS. His best result ever was in a 2016 "Summer Series" in which he was 6th for around £1,000. I'm embarrassed to admit I can't even remember what that "Summer Series" was. In 3rd last night was @HAYSIE - that's his 5th Mini FT this year & 8th 2025 Mini Top 20. The cantankerous old boy has been getting results here since 2007 when it was on the "Red Button" on TV, & he's still competitive with the young guns. One day, someone will say something nice about him, though I doubt it'll be me. Incidentally, you can see who does best in the 2025 Mains & Minis by having a look at the thread @Slipwater runs.
Summit went to @lJAMESl who is playing here more frequently these days. It's his 2nd "big" win here this year as he won the Sunday night £5k BH last month. As some of you may remember, he used to be a member of Team Sky Poker. Here's a fascinating, 14 year old thread about his departure. It's a great example of folks trying to cause trouble un-necessarily. People LOVE to try to cause trouble, don't they? And as a postscript, seems to me that @lJAMESl handled it perfectly.
The shy, retiring & humble @sogenius took the £800 BH for the 2nd time in a week, & less than a week since his best ever score, 1st in Predator Main. Seems to be coming along nicely.
Once again 7 @ 7 went to @dodger16 who was presumably very jammy. Seems to love the 7 @ 7, & almost all his best results are from it.
Shock result in the Rebuy BH as @wattam07 returned from a 7 month MTT absence to ping 1st place. Struggling to find any featured MTT scores of note in the last 10 or 15 years, but maybe I need to look harder.
What a night for @DEAN7777who was playing just his second & third MTT's this month, winning Reload & 2nd in MidEx. Only other FT this year was a 9 @ 9 last month, but to be fair has only played a handful of times in '25.
MidEx winner was @gavpidge, making it 2 wins in around 30 hours, as he won a late afternoon £200 BH on Monday.
The SPT Semi had it's biggest field so far, with 3 seats won, amongst whom were @chalky666 who loves SPT Brighton & is always good fun. The other two seats went to@loololollo & @DCL28 both of whom were winning their second seat, the first players to do do so far.@DCL28 must be keen as he was back on site this morning winning a £150 Turbo BH.
That's about it for today. Now I just have to remember to Upload the thread, unlike yesterday when I clean forgot until early evening. They say it's the memory that goes first, but I don't recall who told me that.
Arguably the standout result was @gixxerk4 in 6th. He has an ABI of less than a fiver & only plays big stuff if he wins a satellite. And that's exactly how it panned out, he won a £3.60 Direct Sat & ended up going home with over £220. Almost enough to buy himself a new Callaway Driver.
@Tikay10 I presume you haven't bought a new driver recently. I would have needed to finish 2nd to buy the new callaway driver and would have had 6 quid change as they are an eye -watering £499.
Was a strange finish for me last night although I technically made the final table I never actually sat down . With seven left I was all in against @PortVale93 and the other table had a three way all in .Obviously the big stacks won both so I believe the final table started with four players which must be very rare in a hand for hand situation.
