Questions about transfer of funds to iPoker

Sad to see Sky end but realise we had a good run.

Given that there will be some significant sums moving from Sky to iPoker it would be good to have reassurance around the process and if there will be any requirement to validate identity on iPoker once transferred.

Are withdrawals from Sky going to be available right up to the end or will there be a locked period?

One thing I'm considering is withdrawing all funds just before the transfer and then redepositing after as a safety measure. Would also be a good idea if there are any deposit bonuses available on iPoker to insentivise new players to add funds.

I think it is the case that this is not a worry. But Sky will know better than me.

Deposits, withdrawals and funds will continue to be with SkyBet. Certainly has been true with other Skins in the past.

In other words, any risk is with SkyBet and/or its owner, Flutter going busto. Exactly the same as now.

Similarly, I would expect any incentives to be under the control of Sky. In essence, anyone using a Sky account on i-poker could not simultaneously be using the rival skins, who (unsurprisingly) would not be willing to fund people leaving their site...

Hi, Sky Poker isn't ending we are joining the iPoker network but we'll still have lots of ring fenced exclusive games. This will have no impact on your Sky Betting and Gaming account. You won't need to revalidate your identity or anything like that. Your funds are perfectly safe and there will be no locked period for withdrawals. iPoker are just providing poker software, they don't manage customer accounts.
