There are many comments on the ipoker thread about people's feelings about the move, but it is difficult to get a firm handle on the numbers making/not making the move so I created a poll. I believe many will give it a chance and option 1 will prevail in this poll, but some may have already made up their mind. This can also be a thread for upcoming retirees to post their best poker memories.
The only point I would add, is the poll needs to have the option of more than one choice, eg I will move onto ipoker>Skypoker however will also play more on another site...
Think he means that you should be able to choose more than 1 of the options. For example, I will move to the new site but I will also play on other sites to.
Definitely will try the skin, but really depends whether they personalise it enough to sky, or stick with everyone's favourite 6 hour late reg ipoker games
Anyone who plays tournaments will probably leave. It was not long ago there was a thread on here where pretty much everyone wanted tournaments done by around midnight. If you look at ipokers offering and play 10 euros or lower buyins, u have probably less than 10 tournaments that finish by midnight if you register peak time (6pm onwards).
Example, fancy playing a 5 euro tournament with a 3k gtd? Expected duration of that one, 8 hours 40 mins.

Are we not migrating some/most of the current Sky “main” schedule over rather than just joining what already exists? I understood that there ouwld be the option to join the current ipoker schedule but also the sky exclusives.
Anyone who continues to play at sky through ipoker is an idiot, why let them get away with it. ipoker is total garbage with bad tournament structures and no sit n go traffic only thing worth playing are twisters and even then pokerstars do spin n go better
Like most players here I will try the new Sky Poker but if there is a lack of tournaments that won't finish by midnightish i think I will probably play less and less and ultimately stop completely.
gadget, they said they will be a much lighter schedule but my assumption is those tournaments like a £5 300 gtd will no longer work because they will be competing against the ipoker offerings that carry much bigger gtds, and every player will choose a 2k/3k gtd over the £300 one.
Problem is they dont understand these are fake gtds. Fake because the late reg is as long as a £5 mtt takes to finish here, with up to 9/10 re entries available.
With the current setup players will quit quicker/bust quicker
- the re entry, you have to knock out players better than you several times to final table or win a tournament - re entry is available still with 20bb or less stacks in bounty tournaments, this is giving players who dont know better another opportunity to burn their bankroll even quicker as its a huge losing decision longterm - the taste of the winning feel, you will very rarely have it facing 200+ player fields compared to 50 average here. How often have you won a main here?Well every tournament win will be this hard to achieve. - better quality of opponents
If they ring fenced the whole product and it was just sky as it is now with ipoker technology it would work, but moving their playerbase into these type of conditions for tournaments isnt gonna work out.

I would say lighter schedule rather than much lighter but it's all just a bit of a guessing game as to what will be optimal. Obviously some sky players will play the bigger guaranteed network MTTs but saying every player will is an exaggeration when we know our player base prefer smaller fields and reasonable finish times.
I'm finding it hard to support sky tbh. They haven't looked after their cash players, and ringfenced deeper games. We have had to put up with a diminishing product over the years eg removal of priority benefits. I don't understand why a player pool of a handful of regs on sngs (especially hu) take priority over a much larger cash game pool.
The recs are looking down the barrel too, a lot of them will be subjected to 10-20 tabling nits who are playing game theory from Eastern Europe. Sky is one of the last sites where you play the player rather than a chart.
There also is the subject of site integrity, lots has already been said about that.
As things stand there are better options elsewhere post May 27th, I will try the site to see what its like but I suspect it will be a case of sorry Sky but its been emotional.
I think really its hard to say without knowing more then we currently do. I mean I have heard that sky will keep some of their exclusive games but not nec all.
Will the rewards and promos be the same?
I mean if all the tournies and games currently on offer stay the same and all the promos currently on offer stay the same but it is just now people also have access to the Ipoker network then its hard to see the vast majority of the player base deciding to move, they would have everything they currently have and now more.
Obviously that wont be the case but without knowing what parts will stay and what parts will go exactly people expressing their intent right now would just be speculating.
need to know the full info before can say for sure.

Im going suck it and see.
I like Sky. I haven't played on i-poker for about 18 months. But I will give Sky a go.
It's good that Sky seem to have a firm plan for DYMs and Cash.
But it doesn't-yet-have a firm plan for MTTs. And I am one of the many players who will find that offering key to staying or going.

Think the majority of us recs.will play a lot less and/or try elsewhere.
Such a shame that Sky and its good community is going.
