This day last year
"As we approach Easter, MTT numbers are hanging on reasonably well all things considered. The Major missed by a monkey, with the £6k BH missing by a similar number but following the trend of this week the mid-evening & late night stuff did particularly well, with £1,000 Sheriff making £1,690, the £1,000 Turbo came in at £1,690 & £1,000 Quickdraw made £1,720. Seasonal guarantee reductions quite soon are inevitable imo.
The Major went to @grinddd and it was his third Main of 2024, having already won both Gold Rush & Hitman Mains, and this time last month he was 5th in a Major. In total, he's now won the Major 4 times & been 2nd three times, so he's clearly handy. Best result lifetime on Sky Poker was a 2021 boomlet Major for which he collected north of £5,000. 2nd last night was @podraic with @bossquaid a fine 3rd, which was his 2nd best result all-time on Sky Poker, beaten only by his win in Avenger Main this time last month. He was not far off the FTJ either, as in addition to 3rd in the Major he was 12th in the Mini. He did well this time last year too as it happens, see "This day last year". The 3 non-podium spots went to @ra1d @cabbaz & @mainspring.
@StayOrGo who won Gold Rush Main on Tuesday took the Mini Major. Runner-up was @Pogue909 who won a Reload in January, with @chkngeorge in 3rd.
@cabbaz played just 5 MTT's last night but must be pleased with his efforts, winning the £6k BH to collect £1,130 & 5th in the Major for £828, so over £2,000 in total. A tremendous performance saw @JACKDAW swoop to take 2nd place.
Sheriff saw an exceptionally tough FT with the impressive @BillyPckle taking 1st place ahead of @tonyp142 @destinycod @loololollo @seikus & @Steed432. Jeez, imagine making the Final & seeing that crew all lined up against you.
@NoEa5yCa5h won 9 @ 9 for the 2nd time, the previous occasion being last August.
@BloomDog won a tougher than usual 7 @ 7 & followed that with a deep run in the £6k BH. Last featured MTT win I can trace was a Turbo last summer. 2nd was @kinematic of whom we have seen very little the last week or so, which is a shame really as his Sharky graph is moving very much in the right direction.
The 1-2 in the Rebuy BH was @JammyFker & @zzgoose neither of whom we have seen on the Forum for a goodly while.
That's it for today. Bit of an odd week ahead, with Good Friday & Easter Weekend, & of course the clocks go forward on Sunday morning. That means "longer days" (stays light longer) & therefore online poker traffic suffers. Ho hum."

Good MTT numbers last night, particularly the earlier stuff & there was not even a scintilla of overlay, although the late night stuff was less busy.
In the £5,000 Main which made a healthy £6,600, @Upswing - playing his first MTT since last Tuesday - came out on top. Two weeks ago he was 2nd in Sharpshooter Main so that must have been a very satisfying result last night. In over 9,000 MTT's here that was his 2nd biggest cash ever, beaten only by runner-up in an Autumn 2024 UKOPS Main. Having won Friday's Avenger Main - his first Main event win for 9 months - @Doooobs was 3rd in last night's Main, so presumably there was no Ice Hockey training for his daughter & Doobs Taxi & Cheerleader Services were not required. Making his 6th Main Event FT & finishing 6th was @MARK277.
@baxter21 took the Mini, his best results since winning a UKOPS Mini 18 months ago, & prior to that an Avenger Main. Runner-up was @Sarah36DD who prior to last night had only played two MTT's since last May. In 6th was @MARK277 - the same spot he finished in the Main - so he gets a £50 cash bonus from the FTJ.
There was an amusing episode in the Mini when one of our less erudite & more excitable MTT players entertained everyone to an ever-rising crescendo of profanities & abuse (aimed at both other players & Sky Poker) & signed off with....
"FU YOU ALL"
I know I bang on about this, but this player has played thousands of MTT's here over an 18 year period but still gets exercised to the point of making a fool of himself in a fiver MTT by losing his mind in every single game he plays. Why would anyone play fiver MTT's if it gets you like that after thousands & thousands of games? Jeez, I'd be too embarrassed to ever play again if poker got me like that. I wish I could say I understood these things but I don't. If something makes me cross every night I just stop doing it...
As usual, the Sheriff FT was packed with the usual big-hitters but it was @CANNONKID who recently won a 7 @ 7 who ended up in 1st place, having regged just 20 minutes before Late Reg closed. On which note @NChanning arguably did even better, regging with just seconds to spare at 10.39pm & ending up in 2nd place, albeit bounty-less. Neil has an amazing knack of doing that in Sheriff.
Just 24 hours after winning 9 @ 9, @Morris707 won the Rebuy BH. Top class player, with 6 Main event wins to his credit including a Sunday Major.
The £800 BH went to @shazan22 & I believe that's his first featured MTT win since binking a Mini Sharpshooter almost 2 years ago.
Most night's @SNOOPY616_ only plays the 7 @ 7 & he does OK in it with several wins & lots of FT's, & he added another 1st place last night.
Mega went to @wk111 who we don't see in these threads very often, but he has won Gold Rush Mini 3 times, & few can boast that.
@myther won Turbo & then proceeded to play 5 £100 Heads Up Hypers.
Quickdraw went to @GREGSTER who has won all sorts of Minis - Super Mini, UKOPS Mini, Avenger Mini - as well as several regular Mains.
Reload went to a real blast from the past in the shape of @TwoAnchors & so I could not help but be reminded of dear old Richard Orford who always found adolescent humour funny, & tried to get me involved. I miss the Orford so much, here he is at his smug best.
