This day last year
"Traffic was "thin to middling", the two standouts being the £5,000 Main which made a pleasing £5,550, &, by way of balance, Reload which missed by a surprising £129. Worth noting that there were some attractive-looking Premier League games on TV last night, though the one I watched (Brentford v Brighton) was perhaps the dullest game I've watched all season.
@ra1d has been doing increasingly well of late, finishing 1st & 4th in the last two Summits, & last night he took down the Main and a useful ~£1,075. Runner-up @Elmo69 had a decent day, as in addition to £550 for that, he won a mid-afternoon £200 BH for over £100. @Vertigo continues to hit the crossbar, on Sunday he was 6th in the Major, Tuesday he was 6th in 9 @ 9 & 4th in Mini, & last night 5th in Main. Come on Shropshire man, time you won one of these.
Arguably, most pleasing result of the night was MML man @mumsie winning the Mini. He does remarkably well in the Mini, so far he's had 3 x 1st, 5 x 2nd, 1 x 3rd, 4 x 4th, 1 x 5th & 1 x 6th. Other decent scores include wins in the £1k BH, the £1k Rebuy BH & that 20.25 Mega (twice). Well done Charlie, keep them coming.
@shad8604 who won Mega last Tuesday had a nice little double last night, taking both the £500 BH & 7 @ 7.
On Monday @purpleaki won Turbo, which was their first featured MTT win as far as I'm aware, & promptly went & won it again last night, which is quite something.
@NOSTRI has been MIA for a week and celebrated his return by making no less than FOUR FT's. He won the £1k BH, 4th in a £300 Rebuy, 4th in a £500 BH, and 5th in 9 @ 9. Had a deep run in the Main too, 8th for £165.
It's heater-time for @lukeylund9 who has notched up 8 wins in the last fortnight or so. Won the Rebuy BH last night, Mini 22/3, Mega 24/3, £1k BH 31/3, & perhaps most impressive of all the 20.15 £500 BH FOUR times in 10 nights between 22nd & 31st March. Amazing stuff.
No less impressive was @Becksiboo an alias you won't recognize as they had never played on Sky Poker until last night. Played 3 MTT's (Turbo, Quickdraw & MidEx) & took the Quickdraw victory. Some debut that, imagine winning an MTT on your first night on a site.
@rickrose who won the £500 BH @ 19.35 a few weeks ago was back in the winner's circle last night, this time for 9 @ 9. Won a Mega a while back too.
On Monday @utang won 9 @ 9 but did even better last night & really went to town late on, with three 1st places - MidEx, a £300 BH & a £100 BH, as well as 2nd in another £300 BH & 4th in a £200 BH. Those 5 results were all between 10pm last night & 3am this morning.
Reload went to "Cheers lad" @TRAX.

As predicted in yesterday's waffleage, a very attractive evening of domestic football, including the Forest - Man U clash, resulted in overlay galore, some £963 in total spread across 7 events. The worst sufferers were Summit (£300), Reload (£192) & 9 @ 9 (£156). The later stuff, which started after the football final whistles, all did just fine. The Big Cheeses won't mind though, Sky Poker loses a little but Sky Bet wins a lot.
Gold Rush Main fell to @Froozle who had a great night really, 1st in Main, 8th in the Rebuy BH, & got 2nd for over £600 in the £110 entry Summit after winning his seat in a £24 satellite. The £890 he collected for winning the Main was his best result since running 3rd in a Sunday Major in December for around £1,200. His Sky Poker MTT profit is now over £160,000 at a 36% ROI, & he has almost fifty 4-figure cashes, including several UKOPS, 4 Majors & a 2018 Vegas package. Seems a perfect Gent in the Table Chat as far as I can see. (Most good players are). @Chalky666 will have been desperately disappointed to "only" finish 2nd but he does just fine here & has won 4 Mains & several UKOPS down the years. 3rd was @blablabla who had a busy but productive session, 3rd in Main, 5th in 7 @ 7, 6th in MidEx, & made the FT of two x £300 BH's & a £150 Freezeout. Seems to be on the upgrade, & is playing much-increased volume these days.
In the Mini, 1st place fell to @deviantjok (tmi....) who was last seen in these threads when making minor FT's in November & December 2023. Runner-up @LeZilla had a decent session, in addition to 2nd in the Mini he won a seat into Sunday's Major in the nightly Freeroll, & won a DYM too.
An astonishing Summit result. When a Summit FT includes @Froozle (2nd) @Upswing (3rd) @destinycod (4th) @grinddd 5th & @newdaddy (6th) you can't help but wonder someone rated 60 by Sharky can beat them all but that's exactly what @densal did. There's the beauty of poker, when it's your night you can beat anyone. Been here since 2008 & as far as I can see has never won anything of that magnitude before. @destinycod won his seat in a satellite & later ran 3rd in Quickdraw, we'll return to @grinddd shortly, & @newdaddy was 8th in the Main having run 4th in the Major 48 hours earlier. Some result by @densal, well done buddy.
@spearsy136 is one of the players on Sky Poker I really admire, he just goes about his work quietly, never gets ool in the chatbox, & at the stakes he plays he does exceptionally well - 18,000 games, £53,000 of profit with a 51.6% ROI. That's exceptional. Last night was a typical session, 1st in the £800 BH, 1st in a £300 BH, 2nd in a £250 BH, 3rd in a £200 DS, 13th in Reload, won a satellite to the Main & went on to run deep in 13th. And in his last comp of the evening was honest enough to type in the chatbox "I've run very well tonight". Proper playa.
@JR12Booom had not played an MTT here since June of last year but suddenly showed up last night & won the very first MTT he played, 7 @ 7. The last - & only - previous reference I can find about Mr Booom was by @Aussie09 - remember him? - when he used to do various Sky Poker site rankings, & he had Boom Bloke as one of the best Newcomers. That was in around 2017 I believe, just after he joined us.
@ACEHOLEACE has played just 6 MTT's since February 1st, all of them 8pm Mains, & with no joy at all, but last night he lowered his sights a little & 1-tabled to 1st place in Mega.
Similar tale for @royburns who has not been seen on the MTT streets since finishing 4th in Turbo on 17th March, then re-appeared last night & won Quickdraw.
On Monday @666bumpy was 2nd in a £300 Turbo BH & last night he went a spot better in Reload.
@davidlamby signed up to Sky Poker in January & went dormant almost immediately, re-appearing last week to run unplaced in two small-stake daytime affairs, only to suddenly win last night's MidEx.
In Big Boy Watch, @grinddd won the Rebuy BH, was 5th in Summit, 4th in Quickdraw, 8th in Turbo & 5th in a £500 BH. After winning Sunday's £5k BH, @loosecamel took Monday off then returned last night & had a solid session, & from just 6 MTT's played won Turbo, was 2nd in a £500 BH & was 10th in the Main.
That's about it. Another very attractive raft of PL matches tonight, so MTT's will suffer again. Fill yer boots. Responsibly, mind.
