not trying to come across as a bad loser, but I am really unsure why 39 is shoving here? Natnug is one of the best players on here so it must be a shove, I am just confused as to why? If anyone can help please let me know!!

Natnug has you both covered and you both may fold.

If someone calls and he loses, hes still in the tournie.

@Natnug knows the player pool respects him, and we all overfold to his aggression. he gets folds and steals the blinds with shoves like that because no one expects a guy with his rep to be jamming 93s, never mind from UTG or +1.

imo it’s pure fear equity and levelling everyone.

fwiw I think this is a bad beat and was a good call from you, really unlucky spot.

    Hi @Spike4000

    Morning.

@green_beer has summed up the situation pretty well.

I'd say you've just been taught a really valuable lesson at very small cost. Good players don't wait for hands, they make moves, & put their opponents under relentless pressure, especially at the sharp end of MTT's. There's a reason he won more money at MTT's in 2022, 2023 & 2024 than any other player on the site, & you've just discovered it for the price of a buy-in. Bargain.

    GL mate.

I don't know about the shove seems pretty wild but with his rep and his no fear strat i see why he does it
If his cards are face up everyone would be mashing the call button

I believe he shoved because his cards were suited, otherwise he folds.

Most people would fold 66 in that situation in a decent game and perhaps he just took a chance because he was hoping you had a weak hand that you would pack. Usually 66 would be 50/50 against two higher cards or 2/13 dog v a higher pocket pair. I do not know the players involved because I only play low stakes games now, but you obviously made the right call, but he got fortunately lucky
