recently received an email from alea glasgow about upcoming poker and i found out they are holding the scottish poker open ( buyin £2500+250) in early august, it has been promoted by luke schwartz. also been announced that andrew feldman is goin to it,
im just wondering if its on the agenda of any of sky's big hitters and if any1 knows of any other big names that are making their way to the quayside early august.
this is something i would love to go along to and watch for a few hours just to see how these guys play, the buyin is wayyyyyyyy out of my league, the more names the better as it would only highlight the scottish poker scene and all the possibilities north of the border,
2 big name brit players with more to come, plz who else is going as i believe this is a first for scotland at this level.
im ranting now but im excited at prospect of scotland holding a tourney of this magnitude

Them pair get on ...... not at all actually lol.
It will be a remarkable surprise if this Event attracts the sort of field that the organisers were hoping to get.
I think it needs about 200 runners to get somewhere near the rumoured "estimated $1 millioin to be won", & the word "estimated" is the word the organisers used.
Expect it to be a lot less.
Hope it's successful, though, it's been some years since Scotland was featured on the Pro Poker Circuit.
You'd have to join the queue that's starting outside ALEA Glasgow. The end of it is currently in Penzance.
