In Response to Re: ROLL UP, ROLL UP FOR ORFORD'S MAY BANKROLL CHALLENGE! : Don't go sitting at a 50p/£1 table on May 1st - otherwise you might need to go to Battersea Dogs' Home ;-)

Nice one PKRPar and welcome to Sky Poker. You've come to a good community where you'll enjoy the game and the banter.

Some advice- I'd set yourself a target. It really helps keep you disciplined and gives you a sense of achievement if you take it down. How about the double-up? £200 by May 31st?

In Response to Re: ROLL UP, ROLL UP FOR ORFORD'S MAY BANKROLL CHALLENGE! : I'm assuming of course, that these are euphemisms..? You're going to work the streets if you drop below a certain blind level? Now that's pressure...

Work the streets ONLY if I fall below a certain level?  Err, who was it that told me that was standard bankroll management?

When is Lisa-Marie back, I need to have a word?

I'm liking this one Dazler. The starting amount is irrelevant. You're going for a massive ROI and let's not forget that poker superstar Chris Ferguson has performed bigger miracles with even less to start with.

You are going to be seriously grinding on the micro-limits for a good stretch though! Best of luck mate. Weirdly could be the most challenging target of the lot.

Ill have a go with £100, no specific targets, the only aim is to have a higher ROI than any other player on this thread who's starting with £100 or less! :)

Im up for this. My bankroll is currently £171.54 (I'll post my actual starting bankroll on 1st May) and I am playing £5.50 DYMs. I'm hoping to move upto £11 ones asap but wont be able to play as much as I'd like during May (maybe a couple of hours a day though). I will set a (rather ambitious given my play) target of £300. Cheers for this Rich, its a good idea as the extra motivation never hurts.

Good luck John. I think £300 is do-able from £170, if indeed that's how much you have on May 1st.

From my own experience, DYMs are a really safe and painfree way of building your bankroll if you know how to play them. I'd move to the £11 level once you hit £200. If your form continues you should reach £300 within the month as you'll winning a tenner a time for coming third!

    DYMs? Good plan, Dave.

Omaha? You're mental. LOL. I dare you to multi-table 10 at a time!

    Seriously, best of luck!

Good Luck Rich - I hope it works out. Though we all know you will fail miserably :) (Hows that for a vote of confidence?)

    Joking as always.

Hi Rich.  Great idea!  I'll accept your challenge and also give you the micro stakes player you mentioned.  At the moment, there's a whopping £6.50 in my bankroll.  I'll update the amount on May 1st, but I aim to reach £50.00 by May 31st, that's over 700% ROI. (To be honest, I'll be lucky if I make £6.51, but let's be positive!)

I don't play cash, so it'll be done the hard way - playing 30p, 60p, £1.00 DYMs, freerolls and low stakes tournaments.  It sounds even harder now I've said that, but let's give it a go!!

    Good luck to all.

    Graham
