In Response to Re: ORFORD'S MAY BANKROLL CHALLENGE TO BECOME A JUNE BANKROLL CHALLENGE! PLEASE READ AMENDED OPENING POST AND ADD YOUR SUGGESTIONS HERE PLEASE!:
Ok all- having listened to your comments and feedback regarding the format for June's challenge I have made a decision! Today is the last day of the May challenge- after midnight tonight it is over and hopefully Machka (legend) will produce a final table for May based on just the people who actually played in the end (not the ones who stated a figure and then didn't play-which actually were very few), and maybe in some kind of ROI order..hint, hint ;) ! As from tomorrow June 1st- the mission is simple. At some stage during the month. You must double up. That's it. So, the amount is up to you- it could be a tenner, it could be £1000. And it doesn't matter how you do it. State your starting amount and then just keep us updated as to how far you are from doubling it. The really good players should probably aim for a larger amount as Dohhhhhh for example found it a bit of a stroll to double up £100.  Make it a figure that's affordable for you, but also a challenge. Something you think you might just be able to manage at a push in 30 days, but which maybe you've never done before. And if you hit 100% fairly quickly, then great- keep going and let us know how you're doing. As for myself- I think I'll start with £100 again and hope for the best. PS- Machka- my SECOND BR challenge is down to £71.51. Yes minus 29% ROI. Grrr...

In a needless attempt to find a gimmick, you have issued exactly the same challenge as last month.  I'll start with whatever I end on tonight.  I'm getting to £100 in June fashaw!

Won 8 outta 9 sng but lost some of my £11 buy in on a b/h so up £14.50 since last report. BR ended on £71.75 so £28.25 dwn                                                                                Very well done to all who hit targets and to the sharks who basically kicked the c**p outta theirs and commiserations to the rest of us.

Ok, calling it a day with 30 minutes to go so the BR challenge isn't on my mind.

    Final Score:

Main BR Challenge:  Start 500, Target 1500, Final 1609.82  Happy with that.
TVTart Challenge:  Start 200, Target 500, Final 224.97  In the end hardly got a chance to play on the nights for this, I think I had three hours combined.  Darn my fluctuating social life.

Good luck to everyone for next month, I will consider what challenge I will do and post it before beginning.

Have about £2.50 of the £10 I started with 4 months ago - be good to double up twice to get back to a tenner - last of the big rollers. Although can't see me playing too much when the footies on.

    Bad day.  £29.88.  Sigh.

Edit:- I would like to ammend my end balance.  £1.10 has materialised from somewhere since I went to bed.  End balance £30.98.  And all from a low of 40p.

Oh well, br ends up at £41.54
All that play and not much to show for it.
At least I'm up (a bit).
Never had such an up and down month.
Probably played too much trying to do the challenge.

Thanks for the challenge Rich - learnt a few things which hopefully I can put into practice so that I can eventually move up levels.

I'll join in with the June challenge as it is essentially the same thing, but I won't bust a gut this time.

Had fun though, which is mostly why I play although I'd like to improve!

Very well done to all who beat their targets and commiserations to those who didn't.

I have £107 currently in my account willing to try and double that up (withdrew a little to clear depts so thats why my sharkscope will suggest i have more) Rekon i could do it in a couple of big MTT the main problem is keeping the loses from failing to cash in other MTT in tack so will use s&g's to try and keep that to a minimum.

So my target for 30 days of poker is £214.

On a quick question, am i allowed to withdraw money during this challenge. Say for example i make a couple of loses go down to £89 and then win a MTT taking me to £189 i would usually withdraw £80 (trying to clear overdraft) would that £80 still count.

May Challenge ended on a rather feeble up and down note

    Start - £38.87     end   £72.00       +    £33.13

Still that provides a neater starting figure for June - looking to turn it into the giddy heights of £144.00

Could be crash or burn time.

In Response to Re: ROLL UP, ROLL UP FOR ORFORD'S MAY BANKROLL CHALLENGE!:
Ill have a go with £100, no specific targets, the only aim is to have a higher ROI than any other player on this thread who's starting with £100 or less! :)

Well, after falling asleep watching the afternoon screening of Jeremy Kyle yesterday, I failed to muster that one last effort I needed to overtake Jaegerbomb, the weekend took alot out of me.

So a starting roll of £100, has ended up at   £1474.81  , giving me an R.O.I of.....well I dunno I'll leave that for Machka.

As for next months challenge, I'm just gonna try and do better than this month.....so £1474.81, doubled, lets say 3k.

This is realllllllly optimistic, Ive played more this month than ever before (just under 5k points), highest before was 3k....

If it aint broke, y change it? (did start to break this weekend though) :(

    Good luck in June all.
