Transition from 10 seaters to 6

Hi all

This is a question that comes up sometimes, so I thought I would start a post, so helpful tips all please :)

    Ring, stt`s, mtt`s?.  Dunno about the others but in cash, I would say a big sort of way of showing the difference may be, AJ utg 10 handed, fold.  AJ utg 6 handed, raise

    Average winning hand strength decreases = play more pots :)

    You need a wider range of starting hands in 6 seaters as blinds come round more quickly.

    I prefer 10 seat ring games as the blinds don't come round so often (therefore cheaper!) and (I think..) if you hit the flop you are more likely to get a customer.

    Is that sound?
