Risky aggression to try to win, or meekness and try to ladder

Did OK in the 1200 BH last night, finished 8th (and took sh*t loads of heads :))

Here is my exit hand

As the money went in pre-flop it was effectively a race (so I'm not going to whine about the 2 outer river), question is was this a +EV race to try and win the tournament, or should I have passed and tried to ladder whilst looking for a better spot? The cash was starting to jump up for every position by now.

Deffo get it all in for me - in the bounty hunters the money for the minor positions is rubbish, as people who get knocked out within the first half an hour take money away from the prize pool (ridiculous idea)

....So to get a decent pay day you're looking at top 4 - and in tournys you're always gonna have to win a race or 2 to get there...

At least you didnt go down calling - the guy's getting just under 2/1 - and you can beat loads of hands he could have here - makes a good call with the 5's - and the rest is history.

Deffo right to take the race and the fact u got the money in first, makes you more than a 50% fave long term.

    So WP, UL :(

Good to hear. Actually got slightly more money for heads in this tourney than position. Took out 9.

Yes I push for the win. Especially in a BH as not even 2nd in a BH gets that much $.. winning the tourney means you keep your own bounty as well which by then is a big amount.

I wouldn't say do "Risky Agression" more controlled agression, AK, AQ, and most PP's im shoving all in in these stages, the blinds are worth stealing and if you double up at these stages ur normally chip leader.

As the other guys said, you played it correctly, i think the toughest descision in this hand is for the player with the pocket fives....what would everyone else do?

I just can't seem to make myself sit tight for the bubble. I want to (situation allowing) get them in and grow my stack. I could have waited a few mins and then gone on the offensive, safe in the knowledge I had some return on the tournament.
