dont usually moan but just been in a bounty hunter hand with one guy all in , ends up being a split pot with me and another guy knocking him out but he gets the bounty and i dont !!

    I would think that he had more chips than you going into that hand

    not really that bothered tikay it was only 1.88p ,but was just curious how it works surly if its a split pot and we both have chips left to bet the bounty should be split,wont lose no sleep over it :)

    Yes i know that but say your stack was 7k, and villian stack is 11k before the start of the hand

    My understanding is villian gets the bounty because he has more chips than yourself before the hand started

    Maybe some1 will be along shortly to agree or disagree

    Posting the hand would help.

    It's a situation that often arises, so there must be an official rule. It might come down to table position, ie the sequence the players turn over their hole cards.

    The rule in live poker is as Ozzie says, it is the same as if the split pot is not equal

    The higher stack gets the bounty and/or any extra chip if the split is not even.

    Highest chip stack wins the bounty, if they are level then the dealer or closest the dealer

     I asked young Ricci Orf what he used on his hair to achieve such stunning results, obviously the most stupid question ever, as i've since been reliably informed that he leaves his barnet at the local poodle parlour the night before, who perform the necessary wash and blow-dry
