Let me tell you something .. go to page 24 of 'Bennys X Files', there's two posts one called , 'The God of Ology', and 'Check Calling' ... I presume your talking of MTT's, and the thing with this site is, everyone listens to TK and Ed on TV saying, 'You must shove all-in with only 7-10 BB's' ? Now i'm not saying thats wrong but the way people read the message is... 'yeah baby shove all-in, TK says how can they call' ? Which is true in a way, but 95% of players on-line haven't learned the basics of the game, which is chip management in building a stack slowly through the tournament. This principle has always applied to Live tournaments with long blinds .. It should also apply here but because we play 6 seaters, the hand range is wider and because there's another game to play in 5 mins, some players just shove and if they get lucky fine if not , onwards and upwards to the next game ..... and so we end up with a shove fest of 'bingo' ! The other thing here is most tournaments are speed tournaments around 5- 10 min blinds, so in reality your always playing a crapshoot BUT on the up side your not going to be playing online for hours and hours, maybe 2 , 3 , or 4 hours maximum .. You cant play a 3 hour tournament without getting lucky at least 8 or more times on the way to a final table but the modern game is played in a way of 'C' bets and 'floating', none of it's new, it's just the new 'lingo' .. the 'IN' phrase .. ... Get yourself a 'beenie hat' and 'i-pod' .. get real man ... it's a modern world !! ) gl;k benny Posted by bennydip2
Very true...thats why good players should play cash and deep stacked tournys for profit (better winrates and less variance) and the main events etc for fun.

TK knows what I mean, players hear on TV they cant call in this situation it's either Pass or Shove, in the closing stages, so all this talk of shove shove, becomes infectious and before you know it the whole tournament is played with shove-all-ins !! It's the modern way .. (well in some cases)
i know what you mean, i also have had good wins on sky but i self excluded my self for 6 month from sky the exclusion time is up today i been playimg on a few other sites trust me there all the same , the trouble is there are alot of bad players on the net who will call to an allin to hit 1 card and it is frustrating when they hit it they give good players bad beats and knock them out of tournys and some one else takes them out a few hands later it seems that it allways happens to you at the time but you get your good luck as well. the final straw for me on sky was heads up in a tourny i had over 19 k opponent had 10 chips only and he won every hand till he won the tourny, but saying that im glad to be back just got to wait for my 24 hour cooling of period now so tommorow i be back on the tables untill i have another moment of madness and exclude my self again lol see you all tomorrow timeshare2
How many times has someone said that you want these donkey calls as you will win over time?( thats what i tell myself when I again get sucked out)has that view gone out the window? has sky got more donkeys than poker players ! I'm sure other sites also have their donkeys. i hope after a while you will pop back, good luck in your future play wherever it may be
seriously alivehat, check the guys stats out before comming out with such stupid remarks, this man has won more money live and an line than 95% of people here. 50k in a yr on more than 1 ocassion. he is still 3.5k up on sky since startin and a score of 77!!!. the problem he is saying is not the new players, but the amount of bad play. even a lion can be taken down by dogs if there are enough of them.good players ( and i dont class myself as one yet) can and do dodge bullets but if they are firing a machine gun you are in trouble.when you have played more than 124 games on here and have a profit and score up above his you can start chucking around comments like that. until then i would keep quiet!!
I know how you feel. I have never had to reload on any poker site in the last 5 years, except this one. I like sky poker the best, but I just cannot get on. Just sat down to a £2.20 BH, got dealt AA on the first hand, and got out drawn by J5. If I slow play I get out drawn, if I push I get out drawn. If I play tight, when my stack gets low, I seem to get dealt endless, 6,2....9,3.......3,7 etc etc. I am not a big player, but I have always been able to build my bank rolll up, buy playing within my price range. Losing £2.20 should not annoy me, but It bl88dy does !!!!!

i personally think that online poker has changed how poker is played by 'the masses',and how it is perceived by the 'normal' JOE off the street..the speed in which it can be all over,and onto another game,or,'im playing 20 games at once',6 seater fast blind format..roullette poker,ONE CHIP and a chair and rush poker..its evolving into a game much more lukk orientated...and hence much harder to win MTT,even for decent players..add to that an ample dollop of bad lukk/no lukk,and who knows when the next win will be... as sum1 mentioned earlier,the game has gone or is going,from 1 of strategy,cunning,SKILL,..to 1 of,iv hit the flop so im gonna shove it all in,and if u feel lukky,then make my day..if skypoker really wants more 'poker players' here,then phaps they should be looking to have more/some 10 seated, slow blinds format .a bit of real poker,where skill matters,and ladylukk takes a backseat..

i had a very bad week last week losing most coin flips etc....
this week has been alot better so far.
just have a break elsadog.
i did for a few days and came back alot more focused.
