Poker Weekend

After the success of our little trip to DTD in April it has been discussed that we should have another one at the new Card Room in Cardiff - Les Croupiers. Dates are a bit in the air at the moment but Sir Tikay wants to do this weekend before venturing off to Vegas. If anyone is interested then let us know and hopefully we can get a date of when grandad will be free as soon as he finds out!! It would be great to get together with more of the Sky Poker Community and have another great Sky Poker Weekend!!

    Hi Dylan - yes, I'm well up for it, if we can gather together a bunch of guys.

    Date? Well before we agree dates, can you let us know what Tourneys are on & on what weekends down there, so we can, ideally, tailor the date to suit what most people want & can afford to play?

    I'm not fussed what the Buy-In is, but we need to bear in mind that we don't want to marginalise any guys who cannot manage the bigger buy-ins.

    Anyway, I expect most of the time will be spent playing daft SNG variants. ;)

    If there are decent Events on both days pf the weekend, I'll stay down, but if it's just the Saturday, or Sunday, it's still fine with me.

    Daiboot said there may be poker festivals coming up there but they state nothing on their website, I will PM Dai for more details because he is a regular there and I am not im afraid. However their website does state that their regular games are £15 +6 Freezeout on Friday nights, on Saturday it is a £30 + £20 Add on + £10 Add on and £6 reg. On Sunday it is a £40 + £6 Deep and Steep Freeze-Out. I think there is a lot of variety there and as I say I will double check this with Dai also to see if there are any changes to the schedule.

    I shall watch this thread with interest Dylan. When the dates are finalized and if I am available, I will hopefully come along as DTD in April was a great get together albeit a bit short on numbers to those who said they were going. I shall also make sure my passport is up to date so I can visit your country sir!!!

    Post the details and I'll have a discussion with her ladyship about it.
    If the buy ins are too steep, can we get a couple of tables (obviuosly paying the casino a rake) and
    make up our own little tourney, set our own buy-in and structure? Invite only.Dunno if this sort of
    thing is possible.

    Hi all

    I have emailed tom the card room manager in les croup and the next main tournament thats not on the website will be on the 19th June. This is a One Way poker sponsored event. £100 Freeze-Out. £15,000 GTD Prize Pool. Its a 2 day event, starting on 19th June at 7pm.
     
    15,000 chips - 45 Min clock

    sounds good may be a bit quick for TK but is my sort of game
