A Prayer to the Poker Gods

Dear Poker Gods,

Graciously you hand me aces when I am on the button,
but secretly your sniggering, am I just a glutton?

The money goes all in and I feel like I'm in heaven,
My caller laughs out loud as he shows me his two seven!

My heart starts to beat as the cards start to fall...
I pray a little harder but you do not hear my call.

My heart falls as the full house comes,
my aces arn't ahead.

Next time I feel like praying,
I'll just grab a beer instead!
