Good morning all!!
Yes this very evening I shall be sharing the stage once more with the rather lovely James of Hartigan and between the two of us we shall while away another Informative, entertaining (Well that's the idea anyway) four hours of your time!!
Primo starts at 8pm so get yourselves in now! There is also a Primo Semi for just £7 that kicks off at 5pm so plenty of chance to bag yourself a Primo seat with one in 5 players winning a £33 entry to the main event which is nice eh?
As always there will be indepth hand analysis so please please post any Primo hands you want shown on this thread along with you player name and hand ID and any info about the hand.
I'm pretty sure that our very own Total Player Mr Dan Brown will be on the tables and on the phone but I'll confirm that later.
Also as a topic for posts, emails etc I want to know about a time/occasion when you've REALLY put your foot in it.
The reason for the topic is that last night I was asked by a nice young man I was chatting to what I thought of a Movie I had just seen. Me being me I was of course brutally honest and broke it down with words like 'dull' and 'Slow'... Only to be informed some time later that he was the Director. OOPS!! Hello sinking feeling and Career suicide!
I'm sure Mr H will be adding to this thread about areas he wants to concentrate on as I personally got a lot out of last weeks point of Focus.

Putting your foot in it - I witnessed a classic one a few years ago when my father and I were invited to my friends wedding reception.
We went to the bar and got drinks and my friend started introducing us to everyone. A lady came up and stood beside the groom and my father in his excitement said "Hello you must be the brides mother?" to which she said "NO I am the bride" "Ooops" My father then blirted out "Open that window and let me jump out"
It still brings me to tears just thinking about it.
hehe
I have picked up a bit of information about this James and I am informing you that I most definitely will NOT be blowing things live on air.
Good lord.. It's not THAT kind of show
Looking forward to HARRASSING, I mean Railing Wealthall for the whole two minutes he lasts... Hehe. Actually from what I hear he played incredibly well with a short stack for most of yesterday in order to make the final 10. WOOOOOOOHOOOO!!
I am playing tonight courtesy of team Dohhhhhhh win in the team event
We had a temp secretary at work who came over one day and having seen my address asked if I still lived there as she lived in the same village, I confirmed that I did and she went on to ask me did I go in the local pub
"I never go in the pub because the landlord is a right idiot and his wife is no better I hear"
Of course I was stood there chatting to ....the landlord's wife!
Looked down but the ground failed to open up and I ended up buying her a box of chocs to apologise!
Dave
EEEEEEEEEEEEK!!! Oh no!!And now she knows where you live :^O
Back in the mid 80s the Bank Manager I was clerking for had an interesting idea to curtail the branch's spiriling bad debts .....he got a local map out on his desk and jabbed a finger at it.
"I want no more lending to this area here."
Luckily I wasn't seeking a staff loan at the time as he was pointing directly at my estate.
sent an awfully honest text to the person i was actually talking about
needless to say she hasnt spoken to me since!!!
im sure alot of us know how easy it is to do
and the sinking feeling you get when you realise youv done it!!!!
the shame!!!
D
We will NOT be railing Nick on the show, as he's been eliminated in 9th place - winning himself the better part of £3k.
I've just sent him a message of congratulation / commiseration.
oh, and if James wants to join you i'm sure someone would like it!
best wishes

Hand History #260814779 (19:34 23/05/2010)
quick description: tbh i didnt have any read on my opponent so i wasnt sure what to expect.
i made a decent raise pre, but i was min raised, so i had value to call, (altho min riase was suspicious)
flop ace high, which is what u want but i was weary so i checked, and he bets, i decide to call to see his next move...turn 10, which helps my cause alot as now im beat AK which i had put him on, but i dont want to get the pot out of control at this stage so i flat, then river gives me the boat, but im still not fully confident for some reason so i only chek, and when he bets pot back to me, i think im in trouble, at this point AQ was in my head, but i couldn't bring myself to fold 2nd nuts, so i called, he shows 10s, my question is did i play this right? was it too conservative to only flat call river with 2nd nuts? thankyou
