Forgot to say ive already got it! its not the best film in the world but I like it. thanks anyway woof woof
There is a film my mate was tellin me about the other day actually, called LUCKY YOU.... never seen it myself but from what he told me its pretty much all about poker. i think the main actors in it are Eric Bana/Robert Duvall and he said that players like Daniel Negrainu, Barry Greenstein, Sami Farha all appear in the film as its based on the world series of poker! couldnt tell ya myself if its anygood though!...
Rounders is top, but every time I see it it makes me want to leave the missus and eff off to vegas.
21 - Even though it was a good film, I was disappointed as I had read the book the film was based on `Bringing down the house` a couple of years before.
Seriously, I recommend that book, so much better and loads of stuff extra thats not in the film
think theres one called shade, if memory serves me right it's got gabriel byrne, jamie fox, jude law, sly stalone and some others - more about cheaeting at cards than cards itself but it's ok to waste an hour or 2 on. The only really decent one is rounders

Is this the one where an old guy mentors a kid, the success goes to the kids head, they fall out, and they end up heads up against eachother at the main event....
The guy mucks the nuts on the river to let the old guy win?

Yes. It's appalling. Avoid it like a cheap hotel in Glasgow!
'The Sting' has a great poker scene in it. It's also one of the best movies ever when you haven't seen it before. Still good afterwards but that first viewing is amazing.
'The Hustler' has a poker scene in it but not a poker movie, just one of the greatests films of all time
Both of the above are 'oldies' though so if you want car chases, special effects and Ben Stiller, choose something else.

im really not sure because like i said i haven't seen the film. however I believe (but may be wrong) that the film you are talking about is a film called 'DEAL' with Burt Reynolds...that is one to avoid!
