Spotted the lesser spotted, lesser awake legend that is Tikay tonight at G Casino Luton, to my horror he still plays £30 triple chance tournaments!
Anyway he was a true gent as usual rubbing it in that he gets to go to Vegas with work and I get to go to Luton!
3 horror outdraws with money in good was the story of my night but the roulette wheel made up for the financial disappointment, Tikay had about 5000 chips (200/400) as I left

Thanks Dave, & it was good to see you last night.
Much as I enjoy ANY poker, £30 Triple Chance Freezeouts included, I was really only there last night to buy some dollars from Chompy in readiness for Vegas - we fly out a fortnight tomorrow, & I'm working almost every day &/or evening until then, so it was the last chance for me to see Chompy. I was not fussed about going deep in the Tourney though, as I needed an early night, as I have an extremely long day in prospect today - 6 hours "desk work", (7am until 1pm) then 6 hours in the Studio, from 1pm until 7pm, doing Pre-Records (The Club etc), & then tonight, Online in three lovely Tourneys from 7pm until midnight. So I was quite happy to "get it in light" & get home.
Chompy sold me the $$$'s at a very good rate, so, as is traditional between he & I, we set out to bust each other in the Tourney.
Someone else wounded him real bad, & he was knocked down to 3xBB, though, so the very next hand he shoved Blind, & I then re-shoved my 20xBB stack to ensure I got the "honour" of busting him.
To my surprise, the next to act also shoved, and so did the Big Stack behind him. Whoops.
Still, I had Chomps crushed, he had 6-2, & my 7-6 of spades was in good shape v him. But the next two guys had A-K suited & 10-10. Uh-oh, & when the flop arrived, the door card was a Ten, so that looked to be about that, but it ran out 10-9-K (so I'm behind to the set of Tens AND the A-K now, Turn = 7, & finally the River binked my gutterball 8 for a MONSTA Pot.
Amazingly, Chompy had the same str8, so he & I shared the small Main Pot, & I scooped a HUGE sidepot. That Chompy is SO lucky.
After that, my luck just got better & better, I ran like God, & on probably the weakest Final Table I have ever played, victory was almost a formality, especially as the cards ran so kind for me. The last hand Heads-Up I called villain's Shove (he had A-7) with 2-2, & the door card - yup, you guessed it, was the 2. Some nights, variance is brutally unfair. So, scoop the £470.
The only slightly awkward thing was that we finished at about 3am, so it was 4am before I got back to the Hotel & got to bed, & I had to be up at 6am with a fairly long day in prospect.
No complaints, of course, but I'm more tired than I would prefer, & when I'm tired, I tend to get grumpy......
You fancy sharing some of that luck?
U cashing today don?
