Paying a multiple rake in rebuy tournaments

I have come to the conclusion that paying a repeat rake on rebuy / add on tournaments is not to any of our advantage. I am in profit from the few rebuys i have played so this is not sour grapes, however the continual repeat payment of rakes is taking the biscuit in my opinion, and the only way to get them to charge only for the rebuy with no added rake is to stop playing them, so forthwith i hereby declare that i will no longer play any poker game rebuy tournament that includes a rake on the rebuy. Please pledge your support here if you agree with me, and if you are willing to boycott the said tournaments until the rebuy rake is removed. IMO the only way they will remove this multiple rake system is if they dont get the extra money from us by way of a boycott

Re-buy rake half of the original buy in rake?

    Meet half way?

Are you seriously saying the rebuys are raked here?  Surely you must be mistaken?  Or???

If so it's an absolute farce/ripoff and utterly non industry standard.

The rake is a joke ere.
Take the russian roullette sng's.  Auto allin!
They charge 25p on £2 when they should really charge 10p due to being HU nd even less due to the speed.

I suppose if they are gettin away with it why not lol

Not too bad on cash i spose..... altho they do rake all flopped pots.  Still £1.80 max is about normal.

I get the impression that the majority of sky players prefer a freezeout to a rebuy, therefore I don't think Sky would bother so much with re-buys if they couldn't get this extra rake out of them.

Without the extra revenue they would be left with tourneys that last a little longer with the re-buys, have a few less players in them....and no extra cash for the suits.

Other sites have them that way to provide variety - I don't think Sky can afford to do like wise in keeping with the "current business model"

The best we can hope for is decent freezeouts alongside raked rebuys.....and we're promised more next week.

Personally I'll never opt for a re-buy either raked or not - I'll have a go at the rebuy freerolls just for the challenge of seeing how far I can get in the madness but that's all......would still rather Sky at least put the odd freezeout freeroll back in the schedule......for a bit of variety like???????????????????????????

I only noticed this last night when I played my first rebuy.  It is a joke, like most rake structures on here.  I sign the `no more rebuys for me` petition.

I'm with you Loony, no re-buys for me.

I was going to enter last nights T-O-T (during a rare evening poker session for me, stayed up to watch the football), but I changed my mind when I saw it was a re-buy, I entered a non-rebuy bounty hunter instead.

I'll be sticking to my prefered format; freezeouts. But much like anything else the laws of supply and demand will decide what's in the lobby, all the time there are enough players registering for the re-buys to sustain them they're going to stay there.

Played a rebuy earlier (badly), did not realise that there was a rake until after i hit the button. Definitely will not be playing any more that have a rebuy rake. Never seen it on othet sites!

if they do rake the rebuys and addons, then it's the only site i have ever heard of that does this, inc. live casinos aswell.

as rebuy tourneys are new might just be a mistake in the programming and they weren't meant to do it, but that's kinda doubtful

There is definitely rake on the re-buys and add-ons.

I finished second in a small £3.00 + 30p rebuys tourney a few days ago, but only after 3 re-buys, 30p rake was charged on each re-buy, so I paid a total of £1.20 in rake.

I thought I saw this elsewhere and went to ask but then saw a post by Tikay here and edited my later post.

In Response to Re: Too many re-buys sky sort it out:
To clarify. By referring to the Tourney Lobby, we can see that Sunday's "Freeroll Rebuy" has a £1,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool. That is GUARANTEED, irrespective of how many runners there are or how many rebuys they do or do not make. If there are 500 rebuys, the Prize Pool is STILL Guaranteed at £1,000. If there are 1,500 Rebuys, the Prize Pool therefore becomes £1,500. There will not be any rake or fee charged on the Rebuys, & I believe that will be the case for all "Freeroll Rebuys" going forward.
