World Series of Poker - Tournament of Champions

Hi all,

Have you ever wondered who would win in a tournament with all of the best players in the world taking part? Well, wonder no more as the World Series has reinstigated the WSOP Tournament of Champions.

This year's event saw 27 players take their seats and we're down to just 17. You can read about who's out in front at the end of Day 2 right here, but my question to you is "Who do you think will win the Tournament of Champions?"

    Looks wide open to open to me.

    I voted Phil Hellmuth beacuse it would be hilarious and a massive poker story if he won it.

    It'd be much funnier if he lost HU to Matusow tbh.

    Matusow won one of the earlier Tournament of Champions, so if (and it's a massive if) he keeps his head I think he'll take it down again.

      I voted for Daniel Negreanu have seen him on the telly loads last 2 months & even though he is shortest stacked you can't write him off as he has an awesome game

    This tournament is a disgrace.

    Not many world class players in the field imo, and no none of the names you are thinking of are actually world class anymore. If you know their name they are not world class, what a farcical way to give out a million dollar free roll.

    in that list only erik seidel, elky and huck seed are great players imo, seidel to take it down because hes just awesome

    Even Negreanu 'the young gun playing the young players style' has admitted he sucks basically, and that the live game players are being destroyed by all the young online players. He has started posting alot in strat forums and asking for help whilst also explaining to Hellmuth that it's why he sucks and wont win a properly sized event in NLH ever again. Hellmuth just wont listen because he is a stubborn silly billy

    Hahaha! Thanks, Dave, hadn't seen that one before. THIS has recently become my favourite of his meltdowns, but mostly because of Norman Chad's fantastically funny commentary lol

    I went for Huck in the poll. Every time I've watched him play he's done so well.

    I was pretty happy about that - two of my favourite players when I first started out in poker playing heads-up for the title. Class acts both of them.
