No worries the post did beg for that answer!
Yeah you maybe right as you will never know anyway once they hit the muck.
Most annoying poker question by non poker players is. "Isnt it dangerous?" Er, NO. It's not hang gliding or skiing, motor racing or riding in the grand national. Its just sat round a table at a casino, or playing on your computer at home. As long as you have bankroll management, and play within your means, it's no more dangerous than a game of bingo.(It's the horse backers you should worry about, not poker players) I'm sure alot of you have had this from family or friends, when you tell them you've started playing poker. Can poker ever lose this stigma? It doesnt help that everyone says they've heard of someone who has lost a fortune, but when you interrogate them and get the thumb screws on, they have heard that someone in a pub heard about someone whose 3rd cousin twice removed, had heard of someone in the same city as their aunties neice before she moved there, who thinks she heard it from the milkman or the baker, who both happen to be senile. Maybe if poker was advertized as POKER-only for the Gentry. It would become more acceptable.

Agreed - and this is quite frequently followed by the most annoying answer: "Pay to see"by some smart**** who heard someone else say this and thinks it makes them sound as if they've just pulled some really shrewd move - I think this normally shows they had something good and they are a bit frustrated they didn't get a call.
As someone else said - they can say anything if the cards were mucked so someone trying to elude could just lie - I usually reply full house if the board is not paired, flush if the board is not flushing and so on and then watch the confused response normally a few hands later

"I wish I could play against better players so these beats would stop."
= I can't even beat the fish.
:-)
Is this site rigged?
"Is it on me?"
"How much is it?" (Especially when it's something easy like 1k/2k or 5k/10k)
"If I fold will you show?"
"Is that a call or a raise?" (You can tell, because I'll say call if I'm calling, or raise if I'm raising)
However I love questions, where they just give you information
"Can you beat top pair?" (I've rivered a set)
"Are you stealing again?" (I've got a monster, so you'd better not be!)
