My bad - it was in fact emilyegg. Shows you that whole theory about the letters in between the first and last being pretty irrelevant sometimes I suppose!
Sorry chaps, been a hectic couple of days! As for having nothing to do, Flash... pff. That's all I am saying.
Notables high up on the chip counts include:
Archie Karas - legendary Las Vegas gambler who probably doesn't read much on bankroll management. Once spun $50 up to $40million before donking the lot back. He's a VERY good poker player, although not as good at craps... 240,00 in chips.
JJ Liu - very handy female player with an interesting idea of what is fashionable. Probably makes you fold because staring her down makes your eyes go funny, what with the bright colours and random hats. 240,000 chips.
Vanessa Selbst - Great player and one of the most respected MTT players online. The fact she's a woman doesn't matter at all, she's got the game to make a deep run here IMO. 265,000.
Jon Van Fleet - another awesome online player who is better known by 'apestyles'. He's the kind of guy who will fly under the tournament radar for five days before the Tournament Director realises the radar's been nicked and is surrounded by chips in Van Fleet's stack. A real danger. 295,600 in chips.
Alexander Kostritsyn - won the Aussie Millions and is one of those annoyingly good young MTT players who just came along and made the game look stupid. I was actually tempted to go with him rather than ElkY in my picks, so annoying to see he's on 215,000.
Phil Galfond - OMGClayAiken on some other poker site or other. Has been known to dabble in $1,000/$2,000 PLO games. Probably can't play Hold'em. 203,00
Jason Mercier!! - Well done people! After following my lead, the man Mercier is probably the man many see as a future Ivey/Hellmuth. Except cooler. He wears the sorts of threads JJ Liu can only aspire to. 186,300.
Other notables:
Johnny Chan - 281,600 Patrik Antonius - 258,600 Jesper Hougaard - 316,200 Amit Makhija - 187,500 Florian Langmann - 178,00 Allen Cunningham - 156,000 David Benyamine - 173,000
I am especially pleased to see UFC ring announcer Bruce Buffer still in contention on 160k. I do have to wonder if he shouts "It's tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime!!!" every time the action is on him though...
Once we hit the payouts I will begin updating the list to show all of those who have picked winners
