Is it +EV to trash-talk a tilted player?

You take down a huge pot. Villain calls you calling station/nit/donk/fish/noob/etc. Do you retaliate with insults to further tilt him and mess up his play? Is it +EV to do so. What are your thoughts?

    If they abuse you just put: :) or ;). Or if you got lucky and they abuse you and ask how you can make that play just say "i had a read" or "i had a feeling i was going to get lucky so i called". Usually tilts them :)

    Hi strat

    Name calling and abuse are not tolerated on sky poker tables, the best way is to contact Customer Care and report them, all contact details can be found at the bottom of the page, if you o have a go back ans someone does find it ofensive and report both of you, it is possible you could both be chat banned.

     I simply type TY or :) if they continue for any length of time I then I say Love you too! I really find it quite funny it just tells me they are getting quite frustrated and dont know how to play me and that gives me a boost!

    I dont think insulting the villian back would tilt him as such. I think an approach of ignoring, and just the occasional "smart" ,but not rude, comment would have the effect we want.

    Just let your poker do the talking, there is no need to get involved in firey exchanges, this takes the enjoyment away.. just get on with it and win, innit!
