Folkes, just going through a number of old hands to help me improve my game. So i will be posting alot up, would apprechiate it if you would have the time and consideration to reply to a few of them.

First up,

88 pre flop in the BB not exactly deep stacked in this DYM. Dealer calls and SB shoves. Hes done this alot on my BB and i suspect Dealer is ready to call here. Is it a simple enough fold, or should i be calling this?

Call! you have 10 big blinds and a ok pair. likely to be a flip, and maybe the dealer will fold in the hope you bust and he could cash.

Or you could fold and hope he busts, but I would be in there with 88.

To answer this question you have to guesstimate how often (with what sort of hands) the sb is jamming with. What hands the dealer is limp calling all in with and then you have to work out what equity you have against that/those ranges. Then you need to take into account it's a DYM.

If he's been shoving before i'm calling here but i'm not loving it merely because i'm calling in a dym and I don't have the nuttages rather than for any other reason.

In future please try and post more information/table information/player information etc. All these factors matter when making your decision.

Fold if in any tourney here, not worth the risk for your whole stack imo

the button calling shouldn't really alter your thinking here as he will have a wide range calling in this spot, basically do you want a flip at best? wait for a better spot still got 10 BB so can wait another couple of rounds and you want to be pushing all in rather then calling in an ideal world

If its a DYM, I'd probably just fold and hope the limper calls and busts. Better to push with that sort of hand imo.

Probs is a fold for me. Unless the dude shoving 40BBs does it with low PPs. Also depends on other stack sizes etc etc etc etc etc...
