I'm sure this must happen to all poker players all the time.

Moments after folding you really wish you were still in the pot. Here's a typical example from today;
PlayerActionCardsAmountPotBalance
mcdonald11 Small blind  10.00 10.00 1430.00
mo703 Big blind  20.00 30.00 2930.00
  Your hole cards
  • 4
  • 8

GaryQQQ Fold
suzie08 Fold
shorty09 Fold
mcdonald11 Call  10.00 40.00 1420.00
mo703 Check

The annoying thing here, is that I should have called with the price being offered, not sure if I was in the middle of a hand on another table and got timed out or what......

Watch the money fly in, how often do u flop the nuts, and get zero action.

well  it depends what sort of RNG system sky use.

For example Pokerstars is pre determined, which means once the hand is delt, all cards on the flop turn and river were already decided when the hand was delt.

Full tilt, uses a shuffling system, which means every second you take thinking about raise/call/folding, the flop/turn/river are instantly changing.

so if sky uses the latter, the flop would of been different.

    Why would it be illegal?

For information, Sky Poker uses the "pre-determined" method.

Those are rather extreme example, but this happens all the time. I think it is a case of confirmation bias. You notice the flops where your folded trash would have hit, and pay no heed to the flops you miss totally with your mucked cards.

Im sure i read somewhere (maybe illeagal was the wrong term) but while the hand is in prgress the deck shuffled at the start of the hand must remain the same.

That would simulate the real world but Full Tilt operates differently - it's the only major site that does it this way as far as I know.
Mathematically it makes no difference which method is used - both are equally random.

Technically speaking I would say that Full Tilt's method is easier to implement but that could be debated.

Every time this happens to me I bang my head on the table......

I'm currently in hospital with a fractured skull and the missus has raided the poker funds to buy a new table.
