Buy in amount

Bankroll management tells me I should sit down with £10 max. However the NL10 tables all seem to allow a £20 buy in. Am I best sitting down half stacked, or should I be on NL8 tables until £400 is achieved?

if you think you have an edge over the players, the bigger you buy in for , the more money you will get in the long run.

if you are following say for example a 20bi rule, dont sit at the 10nl tables with £20, stick to £10.

    half stacked means 50bb - £5 at 10nl

    £10 at 10nl is full stacked > 100bb

    £20 at 10nl is deep stacked > 200bb

i'd advise buying in for 10

if you are playing 5p/10p then £10 is 100bb and therefore full stacked.

it is the most weird thing that sky allow 200b ONLY at that limit.

if you see a fish/someone you hvae a read on sitting with more than 20 tho then BI for 20.

TBH it's for this reason that I've gone back to NL8 instead of NL10. I've never understood why you can buy in for 200bb as the industry standard seems to be 100bb buy in unless it's a specific deep/shallow stack game. It's also the only level on Sky where you can buy in for more than 100bb (excluding the 2 NL4 tables that allow you £10 max BI).

fwiw, I agree entirely with scotty here.
