Five first top 5 finishes in daily featured tournaments in the last fortnight (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th) is pretty **** good going, but more than that- absolute top bloke at a poker table. During the 8k bounty hunter yesterday, there was a player who limp-called an allin for well over 50% of their stack, with ~10 players remaining, with Q7. Obviously an incredibly weak call, showing either bingo nature or inexperience, and it held- causing the other player to shout abuse at the caller. Smith (along with the whole table) agreed it was a terrible call, but when it became clear the player was becoming upset at the abuse being thrown at them, Smith instantly moved to reassure them that it's their chips, their tourney and they're fully entitled to play however they wish, without fear of upsetting others, also defusing the situation. When he ultimately got knocked out (allin with KK, called by 88, spiked the 8) he congratulated the opponent, wished everyone luck and left- very professional exit in a fairly high stakes tournament, considering it was the final table.
I don't think he's a particularly well known name, but he played excellently in the tournament, was a great guy to talk to and very respectful of other people- I look forward to playing against him again. Hope you carry on this good run
