I absolutely agree with you! When you see that forking out £24 for the semi final which is beyond alot of peoples bankroll, and given the nature of any sat, it still maybe a better option than playing a £5+ rebuy, so for Sky to make the sat a rebuy in the first place,  I personally think is an awful decision.

All the 'high rollers' can buy in direct which IMHO should of been delayed until the final few days leading up to the final. The 'average' bank rolled player has really got to go through the sats. I for one will not be playing the rebuy ones!

Hi Wayne. I have just posted on the 'ask Tikay' thread about this so lets hope we can all get some feed back.

PS....have you learnt to deal yet?   :)))

The last 2 SPT's ive done i've always set myself a maximum of 3 attempts for each to try and qualify (mixture of the direct £24 buy-ins for the semi-final and lesser buy-ins to try and get into the semi-final and hopefully get through to an SPT Leg) and i've only needed 3 attempts in total to qualify for both SPT Manchester and Newcastle but these rebuy Satellites have really put me off trying to qualify for SPT Nottingham and unless there is chances to qualify via the normal Satellite process then i won't be trying at all.

    That's incorrect.

As far as I know, the Semi-Finals are Freezeouts, as I stated in my reply.

After a great deal of micro grinding I'm just getting to the stage where a fiver satalite is a possibilty within my strict BR rules.

But the infernal addition of re-buys puts up a complete brick wall for me and many others no doubt.

rebuys rebuys every blinking where......with late regs soon to follow I expect.

Thank goodness for the remaining chinks of light.......ToT and the like

Yes I was reading lt as it would be much more accessible to alot more people if they were not rebuys. Don't get me wrong I'm not against them if they are in the appropriate place but I personally I don't think the Sky poker tour is one of those places. The way I see it is that to alot of the community the tour is *their* WSOP, maybe their first live game, which is what among other reasons it was originally intended to be.

It would have probably been better to have the £2.60 satellite a rebuy and the £5.20 one a freezeout.

If you are playing the £5.20 one and have even just one rebuy and one add-on, it's costing over £15 for a CHANCE of qualifying for the Semi, you might as well just buy in to the Semi direct.

could sky adam come on this thread and answer the questions plz.i met him at swansea and he seemed a nice guy.adam all we want is a 2.60 5.20 and so on sats to spt notts not rebuys.reading between yhe lines sky booked this event when not alot was on the callender and now there is so they think they may not make the £25.000 gtd.so rebuys may be away ove makeing it up imo.del
