A Free MTT entry prize for MereNovice and Hawk 7112 please...

I notice this was suggested by Diggerman on the Top Totty thread, but that may get hidden away there.

It may be that this is already in hand, but both of these guys have put in such an enormous amount of effort during July to administer and provide updates on the Take on Tikay tournies, which has added to the enjoyment and maintained the large number of entrants whilst Tikay was away in Vegas, that I am proposing that they are rewarded for their efforts.

Hopefully somebody will read this who can pull some strings, and I know it's not really my place, but a free seat into one of the bigger MTT's on the site would be justly deserved imo!

    I have to say, yes I think they both should for the time and effort they have both put in, there has been a lot in the past where people have said I should be entered into a tourny in recognition for the work I did on the forum, now its time for these two :)

    Hi Rich,

    Thanks for putting this forward but I agree with Vince there really is no need.
    If by doing the updates it helps Improve runners in the Tourneys and interest in the community pages then that's objective achieved and great.

    Too be Fair Vince has the harder Job working with Spreadsheets and those figuring things I just copy and paste.

    Anyway what else will we have to do when we  donk out early or over sleep:)

    Hi Guys,

    Yes, all noted.

    I have had private dialogue about this with both Mere, & Squawky, we are, shall we say, all of like mind. Their Community efforts & contributions have not gone un-noticed, & will be rewarded in some shape or form in due course.

    To be fair, both of them said much the same thing to me - "we did it because we wanted to, & enjoyed it, not for reward".

    And that's what "Community" is about. Remember what JFK once said!

    As to the 4 League Winners, bear with us/me please. I can't recall what, if anything, was promised, but it's being considered, & I'll write to them upstairs on Monday. (The League only finished last night).

    I'm rather sorry I missed it all, to be honest.

    I'm unsure if it will continue in August. Mere offered, at no cost or obligation, to rinse repeat, but I'm not sure it's fair to ask him to do all that work once again.

    Can I just clarify, that I know neither of them did it for any reward. Just thought it'd be a nice acknowledgement for a very positive contribution to the community - heaven knows there is enough negativity on here!

    I dabbled in teaching a few years ago, and the doctrine during the training was that if you reward the positive, it discourages the negative. It didn't work then, and it probably wouldn't on here either, but still

    Oh yes, I agree 100%. You'll be happy to know I have chatted to them both about some way of thanking them.

    As to poker players & negativity, tell me about it, it does my head in!
