Read this today and i thought it answers the question of bankroll beautifully :-
'Never play with more money than you could afford to take down to the bottom of the garden and burn'

Your bankroll should be inversely proportional to your skill.

If you're rubbish you lose a lot so you need a large Bank Roll

If you're amazing then you only need a small Bank Roll, coz you'll win everything you enter

Easy when you think about it.........  I need a Bank Roll of  £1,234,567,234, at the last estimate

Rule of thumb is 10 x buy in's so @ 5/10 £200, you dont want to be playing with scared money.

20 buyins and have the discipline to drop down if needed.

    Agreed.

I used to play 10 buyins for cash, but have a bad week and your roll is gone, especially if you are multi tabling.

I think possibly a good rule is 10 buyins per table (unless playing 1 table then start at 20 buyins), I 4 table and have 40 buyins so that i'm never under pressure.

All this only matters if you play regually and take the game seriously, if you just want a game here or there then BRM doesn't matter.
