Sky Poker Presenters + Analysts charity bets!

Afternoon all,

The football season is just around the corner and at Sky Poker that means the season of giving! We've given our presenters and analysts a free £25 bet to use on Sky Bet. Any winnings from the bets placed are going to the Sky and WWF Rainforest Rescue charity, which aims to save 1 billions trees in the Amazon Rainforest.

Now this is all for a very good cause, but the real question is how will our presenters and analysts measure up when it comes to tipping? Who's a Paul the Octopus and who couldn't pick a winner in a one horse race?

Keep checking this page to see who they've tipped and how their bets are getting on!

When Sky_Jack told me we were marking the start of the football season, I assumed he meant AMERICAN football.  As you do.

So, I've placed my £25 on Frank Gore of the San Francisco 49ers to have the most rushing yards of any running back in the NFL regular season - at odds of 15/1.

(And, for the record, I'm not the only member of the Sky Poker presenter/analyst team who's mistakenly bet on a sport with an oval ball!)

I have put my money where my mouth is - I could hardly back against the glorious Gunners now could I! So it's Arsenal to end our agonisng wait for silverware by taking the Premier League title! £25 at a more than genrous 6/1.

I know that Greghogg in particular is going to be reminding me every time they lose - but an opening day win at Liverpool on Sunday could be the springboard for a big season...especially with World Cup winner Cesc staying where he belongs in north London!

Great cause SkyJack, hope you can all make a few-bob. Southend United are overpriced at 33/1 for league 2. If you are allowed an an e/w bet, then this should not be missed.

    Hi Sky Jack.
Great idea, but I was just wondering. Do Sky have a reserve fund just incase the presenters and analysts don't make a return lol?

Here are some of my predictions

    Richard Orford
(Returns = -£25.00) I think the rain forest will be gone before this man makes any money

    Tikay
(Returns = £25.00) A wise man this fella, but I think he will only break even

    Sky Rich
(Returns = £30.00) I think this guy is a safe bet (Always gets it done)

    Lisa-Marie Long
(Returns = £0.00) Her money is going on a player with the best legs (Not his ability to score first)

    Sky Claire
(Returns = £not on your life) Might get her money back if she gets hold of the Turf Accountant round the neck lol (She can be very persuasive I think)

    Sky Jack
(Returns = £0.00) Looks more likely to spend his winnings down the pub.

All a bit of fun and I wish you the very best of luck guys and girls.

PS Don't send any real money to the rain forest charity though, do you realise how many trees we would have to use to make those crisp pound notes?

    the future is oval jimmy.
i nearly had my money on ed giddens to win next years big brother, but after reflecting upon the needs of the wooden amazonian tree forests, and praising the gods that there is no more BB, i have placed a divinly inspired 25 big ones on Leinster to hold up the heineken.
    14:1
    how can i lose?

I think you will find the NFL is going green this year with the Jets winning the Superbowl on the back of Shonn Greene gaining the most rushing yards of any running back. Just saying!

    Correct!

Hi Trevor, you do realise that this is for charity don't you? You actually want to win i take it!

6/1? Your having a laugh, you'd have done better backing Spurs e/w at 50/1:)

Oh and if, as i suspect, Arsenal are potless for a 6th season in a row, Mr Fabregas will be off next summer to his boyhood club, Barcelona, innit!:)

    Good Luck

Sorry, forgot to say good luck to all the analysts and presenters with their bets...

I wonder if Rich will stick his £25 on WBA to win the league at 5000/1...

You may well be right, but I think Gore's very good value at 15/1.  I'm not just saying this as a Niners fan - he genuinely is one of the best backs in the league!!!

lol Bandini, there were probably NO rain forests the last time the Scottish Cup made its way to Leith. ;0)

For the statisticians out there it was 1902, and Buffalo Bill was spotted in the crowd.

I do hope they win it again one day though....just hope that none of the charity bets go on it.

Funny you should say that.... While my head is set on placing a Blackpool for relegation bet my heart and a **** of a lot of long cold afternoons at Roots Hall is crying out for a Southend promotion....

    Up the Shrimpers!
