A little brag...It doesn't happen often...

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd post up how I done in the £22 BHunter last night. I managed to satellite in first time for £4.80. Tournament was going well throughout, picked up some really nice hands and won a couple of races.

I made a lay down pre flop when there was about 20 players left...Blinds are 1k/2k...I had 49k.

I get dealt Pocket 10's in Big Blind...

Guy on the cut off raises to 6k...

Guy in the SBlind pushes for 27k...

I fold thinking I must be crushed however the other guy calls and they turn over 44s and 88s....I would of hit a set of 10s.

Anyways, got to the final table and pushed with AJhearts which ran in to Pocket 10s so I finished up 5th...

Not a bad profit for me! Thats my little brag over, it doesn't happen often but I was due a nice little cash!

    Congratulations! Hopefully a sign of things to come! ;)
    And just for the record i'm laying down the 10's everyday of the week in that position! At best your proberbly thinking your racing against potentially 4 over cards so i would say correct lay down over time. ;)

    Your right, thats exactly what I was thinking...At best I am racing against 4 over cards and I really don't want to be in that situation in a tournament late on.

    EmilyEgg, I do have a couple of new bits actually...Everything is going really good. I was supposed to be on this new Sky1 Music Program but It fell through for me.

    I'll upload one now and post it as a topic on the board...

    Im usless at these MMT torns play tight 1st levels, then seem to do very well building a nice stack then get over aggressive and ... gone! Well done maybe you can give me a lesson as I need it lol

    Wayne, Just carry on playing tight early on. Then loosen up about 100/200 blinds..Play position as much as possible. Also you just have to be willing to put your chips in even if you think you are behind...sometimes you just need that bit of help from Poker Gods! - Keep it up!
