HE LOVED IT
It was a really good tournament with 5K starting stack and 25 minute Blinds. I was sat next to Mark, Ratboy and Grandad and Dai were on the other table. Unfortunatley Mark finished 11th when his 88 lost to QJ on a Jxx Flop (It was all hearts as well and he had the redraw but alas no binkage. After Mark's exit we went to the "Final Table" - I had about 8K going into it, Tikay around 5K and Dai around 4K - I had the worst position ever with the Chip Daddy in the BB when I was on the Button and tbf he was an extremly good player but didn't fold to easy!! There was a lot of action early on and Chip Daddy took 2 out in quick succesion to increase his stack further!! Grandad decided to make his move from the BB when there was a limp and a min raise in front of him (Blinds 300/600) He had around 8 Bigs, so he shoves and the limper calls and shows 66, Grandad had erm, Q6, Flop Qxx and that was that - a nice double up - Dai plodded along getting a nice double up through Grandad - Dai had A8 v Grandad's K9 - Flop x98 turn a blank and the River was a 8!! Next orbit Grandad shoves with AT and the young lady calls with 66 and he is saved with the Ace on the River!!
I was incredibly short now as well and could not find any cards to shove with or call all in with (people were raising enough to be able to call my shove comfortably and I was not shoving with 23, 93 and 52 as were the cards at that point!!). Dai unfortunatley left us and then we were 5 handed and I had 1.8K with Blinds at 400/800 - Im in the SB and awake with AK - I didn't even look tbf till after I shoved so seeing the AK was a wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii moment for me
Down to 4 now, Grandad makes it 10K to go from the SB, young lady in the BB calls - leavind behind 2.5K?? - Flop 233 - She checks and Grandad sets her in and she snaps showing JJ - Grandad shows AT - Turn A Blan on the River!! She is out and we are down to 3 - After a while of play the 3 decide to chop it leaving £50 to the winner wich will be decided on the next hand when they all would be all in - Low flop and 1 guy shows Q high, the other thins his luck is in when he has a pair of 3's - Grandad "slow rolls" here - he shows 1 Q and then another to bink the extra £50!!
Great night out and Grandad deserved the victory in the end although getting a TAD lucky lol - The place is cleaned out of biscuits now and Grandad leaves Cardiff al least a Stone heavier
It's good to know that Tikay takes his little lever with him wherever he goes.
He must have had plenty of jam on those biscuits.

Yeah, number of runners were poor but apparantly that's the second week it's been like that and previously they normally get 40 minimum runners so I can't understand why there was so little there last night. Great card room, it is huge and I know we were all impressed!! The staff were all nice and looked after us all with complementaries through out the night.Funnily enough you mention Custard Creams and that just reminded me of last night because the waitress brought out a bowl of biscuits which was places to the left of Grandad Kendall - as me and Dai were drooling, there was Grandad dcoffing down his fourth Custard Cream and I kid you not - me and Dai had only 1 biscuit each - Shocking I know!! Once he poished the last biscuit - the OAP asked politely for another bowl of biscuits and no one else on the table saw them as he craddled them for all his life - scoffing away happy as a pig in sh*t!!
If the dreaded habit is moaning - then no he has not given up
A truthful version of my stunning success last night, when I busted Wales single-handed, including Dylan "Custard Cream" Davies, Dai "Rich Tea" Boot, & Rat "Digestive" Boy, will appear tomorrow, as I'm a little bit up against it this afternoon. Like, I need to go to bed.
For now, suffice to say my hands all held up, except when my K-9 was outdrawn by DaiBoots A-8.
I also won my races, such as my T-6 holding on against 6-6, & my A-T holding on against J-J, & my 9-5 against A-J.
