slow roll? or ok?

Was playing the deepstack last night and this happened :-
 5 handed
 blinds 400/800
UTG goes all in 4800
fold
fold
Me SB 14,000 chips and BB has 20,000 chips, i have AA im thinking flat call or shove? with BB to act i finally go flat call hoping he would call or re-raise me. I then get accused of slow rolling! The guys are a pretty friendly bunch and believed i didnt slow roll in the end, but my question is, in this situation am i right to take some time to process my thoughts and then act or should i have instantly called / shoved? my thinking is its only slow rolling if your last to act and you have the nuts, not if there are others behind to think about getting more chips off.

    Nah u didn't do anything wrong. The shover clearly doesn't understand the game.

    I also make the same play as you and just call, hope the BB goes squeezing with his AK/AQ 88 :)

    What you did was fine, in fact even if I knew what I was going to do I'd still pretend to think for a while to make the BB think I'm weaker.

    A slowroll is as far as I understand when you have the stone colds nuts and take your time in calling, you have to be the last to act to slowroll.

    or when you play live and people don't show the winner at showdown until you've shown the loser even when they knnow their winning because you've announced your hand strength.


    I swear I must get slowrolled by old people at least twice an hour it's so sick live :grrrrrrrrrrr:

    I just about got ejected from a casino in L.A after getting slowrolled by some douche. I was absolutely steaming drunk and I'd heard him say to his gf that he needed another club for the nuts (he was all-in pre and there was side action).

    So when it came to the river I had nothing but A high however he was in position to show his cards first but he wouldn't do it until I'd shown mine.

    I was going mental because I knew he had the nuts! Ended up squaring up to the guy across the table as it was just so ridiculous what he was doing. Thing is the dealer and card room manager both sided with me and he left the table a couple hands later.

    Do not mess with the drunken Scotsman!
