Live Game exit. Did I do the right thing

High Guys,

Playing at the local casino on Tuesday night.  I exited just before the final table.  Just wanted to know if I did the right thing.

Firstly I was card dead for most of the early part of the tournament, but there was a rebuy and a top up option at the first break so i wasn't too desperate.

Anyway 2nd hand after the break I am next to act after the bb  I have 6000 chips left and the average is around 10,000 chips,  BB are 300, 150 so 20 BB's left

I limp in after the Bb with A Hearts 9 Hearts.....  First mistake I here you say. The table has been fairly aggressive most of the night but has calmed down a little so I think I've got a chance of seeing a cheap flop

Three players calls

The SB , a lose player who has been hitting everything all night raises to 2000,  BB folds.  With three players left to act I call, leaving me with 4000 chips

Everyone folds to the button, who spends ages then says, "Not worried about BB but worried about Jock, He's been tight all night" he then reluctantly calls

Flop comes K J 4  two hearts I am drawing to the Nut Flush

BB checks

I check,

Button moves all in,

Sb who has him covered calls

Both of them have me covered

I am drawing to the Nut flush but am 100% sure I am behind

there is now ( in my pot around 15000, chips) so I looking at 15000, for my 4000 bet.  nearly 4 to 1 odds

By my calculation I'm about a 1 in 3 chance of hitting the nut flush, which I am certain will win the pot.  I call

The Button has hit two pair, SB Top pair with an Ace Kicker, and I'm drawing to the Nut Flush

Needless to say I missed the flush draw and exited the tournament.

ANyway no actual question but I would appreciate any hints, tips, ideas of what I could have done differently.  Should I have waited for a better spot,  I know it was a bad move with regard to position

    Fold preflop

    dont limp with 20 bigs

dont limp call a raise with 20 bigs

dont worry when you have done the above and flop a flush draw thats gold considering what you'll normally get gogogo
