i got some right stick but in my head i knew i was a head and after the reraise surely he was at fault for calling

    sorry didnt explain that correct the villian hd reraised almost every hand to the same amount my thoughts when calling was simple really if i hit im ok to carry on if i miss i fold  simple so i thought the next hand i picked up aces raised it up got a call oppon had j 4 lol flopped two pair its part of poker i think

    you should be fold preflop but after then flop just go all in after he raises to £6, you have a very strong drawing hand and need to see both turn and river to maximise it.

    u chanced it pre flop but if he is constantantly straddling y not??? u know this player better than us. Im guessing when u hit the 5 u knew u wer ahead. Tbh if he is calling a 6pound raise with that flop and his hand u deserve to win unless u are very loose player! I like it, quality poker!!!

    i was watching high stakes poker on tv last week where someone did this.

    say your playin £1/£2, utg then puts in a 3rd blind of £4, this is 'live' so he is the last to act preflop so if someone calls, he can then raise if he wishes to, it basically creates more action/bigger pots. some games will allow 'super straddles' which would in this case be £8 and so on

    no but most players only agree to do it if everyone does, unless they are tilted/drunk.

    you cn also have sleeper straddles where you can straddle from any position and if it is folded to you the straddle becomes 'live' and if there is action before you can take money back.

    also there is a variant where the button always straddles aswell i think

    unless they are like durrrr on PAD where he just craved action and had a massive edge on the game anyway
