Sky Poker's BIG GAME has a Brother!

As you know, Channel 865 has now covered two £1,000 "BIG GAME" nights on the Sky Poker.com cash tables & the feedback suggests these were tremendous fun to watch, with some awesome hands from the likes of Sparcey, offshoot, WeAreOnTV, SIMMY, etc.

So, from September onwards, the £1,000 BIG GAME will be a monthly affair.

However, many, many players suggested a slightly smaller version would hold just as much viewing appeal, & be within the reach of more who would like to play in the Game, so.....

A new version will be introduced - the "Cash £300".

Rules are identical. The MINUMUM & MAXIMUM initial pull up is £300. Any "top-up" can ONLY be to £300. That's it!

There will be a bunch of "Cash £300" Tables created, & these will have the TV Icon on them. They will appear in the Lobby sometime on the Saturday afternoon on the scheduled day of the month when the game is to run. First come, first served. I expect there will be 4 or 5 Tables made available.

When will this start? Well, funny you should ask.....

    The monthly schedule for Saturday's on Channel 865 now reads like this......

    FIRST Saturday - Cash £300.

    SECOND Saturday - regular MasterCash

    THIRD Saturday - BIG GAME (£1,000)

    FOURTH Saturday - regular MasterCash.

    When a FIFTH Saturday occurs in any month, a special Show will be aired. Details later. ;)

    So, THIS SATURDAY evening see's the inaugural "Cash £300".

    I believe the Presenter is Mr Orford, & "I run good" tikay is in the co-pilot seat, as I've drawn Saturdays (except 11th) in the September roster.

    This Saturday, then, 8pm.

    It'd be quite interesting, not to say useful, if any of you who plan to play this game on Saturday noted your name on this thread.

    I can't speak for Producer Posh Ling, who is not in the office today, but she may want to talk to a few of the players on a Live Phone-In to the Show. It'd be kinda nice if we could big up  few of the players in advance, too.

    As a matter of interest, of the players on Sky Poker who you "know", who would you most like to see play this Game? It's open to ANYONE, but if you have a fave, I might be able to ring them up & have a word, like.

    So, name that player!

    I would like to see `mat01` have a go.  He is a mad aggro player that Ive noticed lately and plays anything from10-200nl.  Had a £350 stack on 20nl not so long ago  Be really good to watch. I reckon he would be up for it.

    Can i suggest maybe making the min buyin for the big game 50bb? im sure theres a few players who would be happy to sit if they could sit down with £500 instead of the maximum. 50bbs doesnt harm the game that much either as its not that shortstacked. I dont know whether this would go against the idea of it being THE BIG GAME but im sure it would help the tables fill.

    Look forward to the £300 game. Shouldnt be a problem to get a decent amount of people playing that.

    As you also say, this Saturday's £300 should be quite popular, I think. I hope so, anyway, as it was me who suggested the idea to the Suits, & I in turn had nicked it from all the Forum Feedback after the last BIG GAME in which many players suggested a smaller game would be very popular.

    So if it goes wrong, I'll blame you. ;)
