edited September 2010 in Poker Chat

I am organising a charity poker event in Halifax on the 2nd Oct 2010 in aid of cancer research, Tony Kendall has agreed and confirmed he will be attending as guest of honour. The event kicks off mid day and is hoped to conclude early evening, the buy in is £8 (£4 to prize money £4 to cancer research) 1 rebuy will be allowed before the 1st break with a topup option at this point if no rebuys are made. The event is limited to 100 players and the prize pool is estimated at £500 with same to cancer research.

The event is planned as fun day with novice and experienced players attending, we also hope to have other prizes to give away as well as the cash.

If you would like more information about the event or would like to help out please do PM me for more details.

If you would like to make a donation to Cancer Research UK direct in support of this event please use this link to help us reach our target of £1000 raised for C.R UK

Cheers!

How about setting up a Just Giving page? That may help raise some extra fundage from people who can't make your event but would like to contribute.

I'm not sure about "Guest of Honour" which has caused me to blush more than a little, but yes, I'd love to support this very worthy cause, & I'll be trekking up to Halifax (Peace Hall ftw) to help out. I hope as many people as possible support the cause, too.

If we can afford to play poker, we can surely afford to spare a few pounds for this, so give generously, please.
