POST-SPT PTP!

Well, I'm back from Nottingham - totally cream-crackered, but still up for some on-line action at 7pm.

Tournaments are my focus this evening...

Once again, Tikay is indisposed (attending the British Poker Awards), so the 8.30pm ToT event will be Have a Go at Hartigan: Round 2.  It's a £2.20, well-structured NLHE freezeout. Come play.

I'll also be entering some Omaha MTTs and STTs - starting with the 7.10pm £3.30 PLO event.  It would be great to see a decent sized field for this one.  And if you've never played Omaha before, I'd say it's a relatively cheap way to learn the game!

Keep an eye on this thread to follow my whereabouts after that.  No doubt, I'll play some PLO/PLO8 cash as well.

Have to say: if this tournament business proves successful, I may consider starting a Monday night 'Omaha League'.  A bit like the Justice League.  Only without the weird costumes.  Unless GREGHOGG joins in ;-)

I am totally pokered out but if you can do it after your slog then I can too and totally support getting the numbers up on Omaha

Thanks again James for a cracking weekend cementing your status as top analyst/presenter all round good egg (Northern remark - means u r a good guy).

Just gonna walk the whippet (Northern dog, drinks John Smiths and runs fast) and I'll join you

I'll try and work up the energy to come along too, sounds like fun. Thanks for all your work over the weekend james, especially with the final interview at about 2am- you looked absolutely shattered!! Fantastic weekend, great stuff.

Big thanks to the Daves - and to Kiwini4u, SoLack and LEON1 for registering for the 7.10pm PLO tournament.  5 entries so far.  45 mins to go.  Can we get more than 10 runners...?

I'm in the PLO tourny, I must have a punchers chance right.

Anyone wanna offer 3 tips for adapting to PLO tournys rather than cash? (the more obvious the better)

blind stealing? 3 bet/shove - ing? speculative limping?

    Thanx, cu there!

I shd be good value.  I am also a bit knackered, and have also entered the 7.15 £22 deepie, the main bh and the 8.30 hagah.  Multi tabling mixed games probably not a gd idea.

Meanwhile, with less than 10 minutes to go before the tournament starts, I've opened a PLO cash table.

    Bromley - 5p/10p.

1st lesson painfully learnt : Flushes don't play well on paired boards in Omaha. Oh well.
