Can I squeeze here?

Its only a £5.50 buy in, 3pm 'donk-fest'. Theres 16 players remaining, with top 5 paid, Im currently towards the back of the field. Not bothered about cashing, Im playing to make heads up, then inevitably lose.....but 2nd is decent money too.

I know for sure that UTG will fold.

The rest I have never seen before, but the chip leader has been limping in to see every flop, very little aggression shown pre flop so Im not sure how he responds to raises behind, all Im sure about is he could have any 2 cards.

lol you cant squeeze unless someone opens and there's a flat call. you can jam all in and try and pick up the limps?

but you have 8 bbs and wont get folds lol

    fold pre.

a squeeze is something you to do a sponge or you do when there is a raise and a call not just some limps.

you need fold equity so reads/13-15+ bbs would be helpful.

    Sez who?

And it's the same idea, if anything it's more likely to work when the pot is unraised, providing you have info on the UTG limper...which I had........Therefore I dont need to be as deep to make the play work?

Anyone with a strong hand wud never limp in when there is already an UTG limper. I thought this information was important when considering the shove/squeeze?

people do limp and cawl in weird ways trust me i've seen the lot.

and I was being pedantic on what a 'squeeze' actually is. use whatever  word you want for nicking blinds sigh.

i think u have the ideal stack - situation to squeeze there, but not sure how much fold equity u got in a 'donk-fest' i see ppl limp-call shoves with 22+ and A9+ even stuff like J10s in these all the time

altho i can see tricki-P looking you up fairly light there

i woulda also choose a hand with some showdown value not 23o incase u do get called

Your stack is fine for squeezing.  Sadly you are up against the exact wrong stacks to squeeze against.  One of the two players with less than 15XBB might decide they have to double and take a race with their small/middle pair having already invested 200 (seen this too many times, the limp/call with 6s).  And the other guy is probably amoung the chip leaders and might just call you thinking 'no one can really hurt me if I miss my JTs).  If the limpers had 4k-6k then I would defo advocate the squeeze.

In MTTs I have a wee rule JJ if Im on the BB with 10 and less BBs and there are limpers shove with any 2, your gonna lose a BB next hand, ur cards are more than likely live.

But dont forget m8 Im poo at these MTT so my theory might be a load of ~~~~~~

not a fan personally, as previously stated alot of ppl will limp with pairs or J10, rag ace and will call a shove from shortstack. if you had reads both who called are weak and will fold to shove then dont mind it, still i like to be squeezing with at least q8 onwards just so you got a bit of showdown or suited connectors etc

2 seconds it all looked perfect

then submit and sky ruins it.

either turns it into one line of rubbish or ruins some of the spacing to spoil my fun :(
