Hi,

I have just read a thread in the Community Suggestions section that concerns me.  The thread is HERE.

The first post talks about reorganising the Community Suggestions section which I don't think has been thought through but that's not my main issue.

The second post it appears to suggest that threads in the Community Suggestions forum will be deleted, permanently.  I'll include the post at the end of this.  I have posted a reply on that thread and if you have an opinion on threads being deleted, threads people spent a lot of time and effort to write over the last year or so, then I suggest you also post a comment on there.  Please make it constructive.

Thanks, Aaron.

ALSO...

In order to clean up this section of the site, I am going to delete a lot of the threads in here in order to make it clearer and easier for you to post your suggestions.

If there are any threads you would like to KEEP please post it here along with a reason why and I will see what I can do.

Cheers again,
Jordan

I do a bit of moderating on a non poker site, and to keep the main sections clear we run an 'archives' section.

Topics get put there if they appear not to be getting used on the main forums. Sometimes this refreshes interest in these, in which case we move them back into the current topics. If they still get no use after a period of time then they get deleted.

OMahonyO`s "you shouldn`t but you would" thread created a cloud over the shed after it was burgled one night and left with about 6 posts.

Was the funniest thing ever and we never did get a straight answer from the mods...........everything was contradictory and a coffee mug must have been placed on the delete button that night.

I don`t think posts should be deleted. Instead archive them if they need the space. But we should be able to access them as we do now. well at least the last couple of years.

This i believe is the way things should be done, not just by random deletion.

I like the archive idea (was gonna suggest it but was beaten to it) for threads that are interesting.
