An SPT event in Ireland?

The very 1st sky poker tour had 'UK' in the title, therefore when sky looked into venues in Northern Ireland, they found that none would meet their criteria. Now the 'UK' part has been ommitted, would anyone have any objections if an SPT leg was held in Southern Ireland? Dublin has held EPT events, the drinks great (although expensive with the euro rate)Hotels are from 2*(Orford) to 5*(Tikay) and flights are available for very low cost return from lots of regional UK Airports and it is less than an hour away! Also Belfast is an hour away on the train.

    Very unlikely indeed

Most tour/festival poker in Ireland runs in unlicensed venues such as hotel conference halls...this is very expensive to put on eg hire of venue, plus dealers, plus equipment plus security

the problem being that Ireland does not have a Gaming commission, and most of the few regular tournament venues are not up to hosting modern large scale poker eg suitability for tv camers, disabled access etc
