The Big Game- Tonight's Official Show Thread

Greetings all!

Orford here to set the scene for tonight's show. And let me tell you- it's a whopper!

It's also got Tikay in it, but please don't let that put you off. It will be seriously good, honest.

First up, live at 8pm-
we'll head to Mastercash Tables 5 & 6- where the blinds are 15p/30p and bring you full coverage of the action there.

And then at 9.....oh my, it's THE BIG GAME!

Yes, get your hankies out coz you're gonna get a nosebleed! The blinds are a bum-squeaking £5/£10 and all players will be sitting down with £1000.

It's your chance to beat the elite of Sky Poker live inthe front of the nation. And, for the vast majority of us who can't afford such a luxury- we get out the popcorn and watch with excitement the crazy 3-betting, bluffs, and gigantic pots whilst taking notes on how it should be done.

It's definitely one for the serious poker-fan.

And then in the final hour we'll also have a Top of The Pots rundown of the Top 5 biggest hands of the week on Sky Poker.

As ever we need your input on the show so please post away below and also come and find us in the chatbox on the featured tables, as we'll have them up in front of us on our desks.

Our side topic tonight is about getting to you all intimately!
So-

Tell us something quirky but true about you that we don't know!

e.g. you were once a pantomime dame in an am-dram production, you like to hang upside down to unwind at the end of a long day at work, you're fluent in 10 languages, you once met George Michael in Sainsburys, etc etc. The funnier or more bizarre the better! But it's got to be 100% true.

Looking forward to your answers which of course I will read out on the show. Good luck and see you at 8!

Good luck tonight, hope the players in the big game give us a feast of poker.

    3 Quirks

At age 11 I was signed on for a season by Manchester City

At the World Heads Up Champs at Caesars Palace this year I was the only person to recognise Joe Cada World Series of poker champion. (Got a pic)

I played a cash game session in Galway with EPT Barcelona runner up Finton Gavin doubled my 50 Euro stake with AA.

Rich, for some reason the George Michael reference made me think of toilet encounters .....as it happens I have one......

I once found myself relieving myself at the next urinal to Rat Scabies (Sandpipers Nottm circa 1977) mid flow he asked me what I thought of The Damned's new single.

I told him it was Neat Neat Neat.

    Which indeed it was.

Yes Greg- I'm too modest to many mention that West Brom are now 9th in the Prem and just 5 points off the lead. ;)

We've only lost 2 games so far- away to Liverpool and Chelsea. I think you can safely say we're staying up!

    Boing! Boing!

(Next two away games? Arsena and Man U- bring it on! Lol)

    Hi Rich

Unfortunately I suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury and was released (believe me I was never good enough)

I got to play with the likes of David White and Joe Corrigan (keeper) in training and no team mates ever progressed to football glory.

Evening Richard.....Hope you have a good show tonight with Davinna...

If you get the chance in-between bigging up them big cash game boys, can you promote the 9.30pm SPT semi final?

I qualified in a £5.20 sat this afternoon (YES, it was a FREEZEOUT!!!). Can I just mention that Dollie (Gordon) was runner up and, as always, was a true gent in defeat. Top bloke and I wish him well in qualifying soon.

    Cheers,

    Alan

tk's story about the two women reminded me of the time i was wanting to split up with my girlfriend of 7 years,i wrote her a dear john letter and tried to pluck up the courage to give it to her.while i hung on i kept it in my jacket pocket.anyway i decided to change my mind and stay with her and even propose.......only trouble is she found the letter hanging out of my jacket while i was at work  :(

Can we have a section of the show dedicated to Richard sharing all of his omaha knowledge with us. About 15 secs should suffice.
