It's the same old story.... get near cash in a big cash tournie...nicely sat i.e. top 50 paid sat around 20th..  and end up loosing my stack.. I try and stick to premium hands and have tightened my game considerably, but still shove near the cash bubble against smaller stacks... most of the time they fold or I have them beat.. but having said that, I still manage to 'donk' out before I hit the cash usually against a bigger stack..any suggestions guys???

if you have a middle-big stack and it gets closer to the bubble you shouldnt nit it up and hope for a min cash.
look around to see the people who also have  medium stacks (hopefully slightly smalelr than yours) and keep on stealing their blinds. try not to target he big stacks as they will play back at you. and try not to target the super small stacks because obv they will be shoving on you quite alot.

basically, when your in middle to late position and the blinds have middlish stacks you should be opening alot of hands for ~ 2.5bbs

Thanks LOL excellent advice... gave it a try the other night and cashed twice...certainly has helped and I made sure I had a good hand before tackling big stacks or sat with monster pockets waiting for the big stacks to bully and nibbled away at there stacks that way knowing they were behind on the flops.

loosen up near bubble but pick ur players correctly, but dont play to cash play to win. Try next time u play a torny not to look at how many get paid and just play. I always do that unless its live, u will be suprised how much ur game changes when that bubble arrives wether u want it to or not

my speciality, maybe cos i dont care busting out on the bubble well most the time! dont let it bother you too much or if you are just play to cash then go from there, i used to and cash more often but now i go for the win so try to pick up as much loose chips as possible
