Good or Bad Fold?

edited September 2010 in The Poker Clinic
Hi guys! I'm just seeing what you think of this fold. 'Potton' wasn't playing too many hands, and when he did, he wasn't playing too aggressive. I checked it post flop just to mix up my play a little bit, as previously I had been always been putting in a continuation bet. I thought I was ahead post flop, but not by much! When the river card comes and I hit 2 pair, I feel I am without doubt ahead! When he goes all in, I quickly fold. After looking over it today, I feel he has bluffed me! Or maybe he has a smaller 2 pair. If he hit a set of 6's or 9's, he would surely want to get value for it and wouldn't go all in? Same if he flopped a straight, he would have wanted more money to have gone in. I wish i'd have called now but oh well, I'll know better for next time.

IMO dont like the call with A6 to start, your behind to so many hands on the flop, even more on the turn and A6 looks a poor 2 pair to me.... FOLD!!!!! cus you got yourself a mess with rag A

Yeah that's what I was thinking, it's just he was playing quite tight, so i just instantly folded! I probably was ahead looking at it, but I didn't lose much so it's fine! thanks Batkin

i think its a pretty easy fold. especially if the flush did complete on the river.

he jams 8x pot and we have a weak two pair and there are 2 different combos of straights on the board (and a flush?)
i like the flop check btw, but i would bet bigger on the turn

true! Yeah i'm not sure why it isn't showing the suits. I think he might have hit a straight on the river, 78 maybe!
