Hey guys, can you just explain the straddle again please. if its25p - 50p blinds can you only straddle £1 or could you make it £2.50 to play?? for exaples sake!

i didnt think the straddle could be anywhere other than UTG. the whole point of it being an extension of the BB in sequence would be lost if the straddle is in any other position, plus they should be last to act.

Neither did I mate, it was all new to me. Ive only ever seen it posted utg, then if utg+1 wanted to double it, they could and so on round the table.
I questioned the rule at the casino but they said they have always done it and ppl do it reg from any pos. Probs different rules in different cardrooms I suppose. But if the whole table agrees on something, I spose anything goes
mahony i think thats what it is you can only straddle if others have agreed to eg. has to be doubled from Utg and go from then. maybe wrong but i think thats right so you could have straddles all the way up to whenever as long as each one start from doubling BB, then doubling onwards

imagine the table D SB BB 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
So how does it work? Player 4 straddles, then 2 decides to re straddle then 7 re re straddles? It would be a mess.
