Bad Beat Thread: Did you get the coldest deck ever?

Bad beats are a horrible part of poker. Get it in good and come out of it bad. Always hurts, right? Post your contenders for the most painful hands you've seen or been involved with in here. It's better than littering the rest of the forum with them, after all :)

To get things kicked off, how about this one for a cold deck? It's from some other poker site, but obviously not as good as Sky... unless you like the misery these kinds of hands bring:

Catharsis, Donut, cartharsis. That and it's GOT to be better having the bad beats in one place, right? :)

Edit: Tikay loves bad beat stories really. You should have seen the joy on his face in Nottingham - a whole two days full of them!

Well, I do dislike them. Then again, better to get all the rotters in one place, compare the misery, etc...

Two real sick beats I saw at nottingham though were the famous misread hand- player allin on an 843 board holding 87, snapped off by a guy who was a little shorter in chips with 45- thinking they had 43. Turned the 5 to leave first player (will norsden) with a chip and a chair.

The sickest one was final table though, player shoved early position, snapped off by BB who showed aces- early position showed A9. Nothing at all on flop, turn 9, river 9. What a horrible way to do half your stack- he actually requested a break at that point to clear his head. That also cost the next player out a grand due to the laddering system.

not sure where to find it now though!!

The only thing that could have made that more awesome would be if the guy had QJ of dimes, and the aces were non diamond, and the river was the A of diamonds. That would possibly be the most incredible hand in poker history- quad kings AND quad aces on board, and both lose.

OMG YOU CANT HAVE A BAD BEAT ALL IN PRE YOU MORANS

I'D ONLY ACCEPT 77 VS 72 AI  PRE AND EVEN THEN SOOO WAT.

It has to be post flop !!!! I will find an awesome one I did on Sam :D

hold on so if you go allin pre and get called by garbage and they hit it's not a bad beat?!?!

But if they hit a piece of their hand on the flop and THEN all the chips go in it is a bad beat?

    *confused face*

I think what bean means is that if its aipf you're never more than about a 94% favourite (I think), and normally like 80/20 or 70/30 or something. But if the money goes in on the flop you could need runners where the odds would be wayyyyy worse than that!

yea yea I know I got it lol, I just disagree that's all :p

You can only get an *epic* bad beat post flop, but when you get AA cracked by a guy calling off his stack with say 52os, that's a disgusting beat still :)

But if that guy calls a small bet pre and proceeds to hit a 345 board and suck out on you after that... then you can't really complain. In my opinion. ^^

80:20 all in pre is day to day activities

77 vs 72o is the biggest fav at 93.5

anything with >10% pre doesn't matter

bad beats are post flop all ins with runner runners. If you have less than 95% it's not a bad beat imo!!!

I've got KK vs K2o at 94.6, every percent matters.
