I have just been playing in a Bounty Hunter Tournament and suffered racist abuse because of my nationality. Verbal abuse is bad enough but when someone (two players) are being racist then surely something should be done about those players. just to pick up on what batman said, i play on about 7 sites and trust me it is as bad there. please dont tar all english people the same , just because this is a british site doesnt make it any worse!! on the live point you made, i have played live for many a year and i have seen heard far worse language and fights, one bloke got stabbed, that doesnt really happen on line. so i hear what your saying, but in my opinion i think your wrong!!!! ps no need for name calling, just smile phil

I like playing on sky not because of the TV, as I rarely watch, or the winning, as thats about level (just under maybe if im honest) over the year but because i like the different games and like to improve as a player for when I play live. What I dont like however is when you get abuse in the chat box constantly from players who either loose a hand or as is now becoming common, win one. Having had some good chats or discussions with players on here it is very irritating to be playing while getting a stream of abuse. Ive seen recently some really awful stuff thrown at players in the chat box for not doing very much or playing their cards and its wrong. Whats more annoying is when you get called an F'ing donk (or any other variation) and went in with the best hand but because you called someone they see it as an afront. God forbid you win or worse they then hit after trying to steal a pot because then you know your for it with allsorts of putdowns. They are all for quoting how rubbish you are or how much of a moron call it was as if they are somehow entitled to your chips by default and being such a great player you should fold to them regardless. I am always polite on tables even when i lose as I understand this is a game and you are likely to lose sometimes if you make a bad bet or just from luck. So why cant others accept that and just get on with it without the abuse and take some heart in the fact they will get revenge another time. In short It's My/your money and they are my/your chips and I, as everyone, can play whichever way we like and should not get a stream of grief when we win with it or waste it. I did complain to sky and report some of the recent stuff which was really offensive at one player but they said they couldnt find it which was suprising as they couldnt find it the last time the player threw a torrent of abuse at a player on a table I was on??????? When someone is just plain nasty, I like to say things like "Pleased to meet you too" or "Which charm schoold did you go to, I'll contact them on your behalf to get you a refund" etc etc Or just turn the chat off

i AM WITH YOU ON THIS ONE. I RECENTLY JOINED SKY AND HAVE BEEN PLAYING THE 2P/4P TABLES AND THE ODD FREEROLE. I HAVE COME UP ON SO MUCH ABUSE ON HERE. FOR INSTANCE I WAS JUST PLAYING THE 10.30PM FREEROLE AND I WAS SHORT ON CHIPS AS THE BLINDS WERE GOING UP ALL THE TIME. I WENT ALL IN TOO TRY TOO ADD TO MY CHIP STACK AND THIS HORRIBLE PLAYER [NO NAMES METIONED] CALLED ME SO MANY NAMES INCLUDING SWEAR WORDS WHICH I THOUGHT WAS TOTALY OUT OF ORDER. I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT I WAS SEEING. ITS BAD ENOUGH WHEN YOU ARE PLAYING FOR REAL CASH BUT YOU DON'T EXPECT IT IN A FREEROLE 'DO YOU'??? ITS ABOUT TIME SKY POKER PUT A STOP TOO THIS SORT OF THING. As for why people do it i assume its people who cant afford to lose, no matter how little your playing theres probably someone who will say something when they lose and thats why imo or even bad loser but im a bad loser and i dont abuse people just say nh gg even if bad beat.
You will find the higher up you go the less it becomes, also last time i got abused was in a 2p/4p omaha game couple of months back one of the other people on the table said that im a reg to leave it.... now thats respect )
Only thing you can do is report them, personally dont see point in turning chat off because there are plenty of people out there nice to talk to on here and i agree its no worse then other sites

If anyone suffers abuse at the tables, as already said in this thread, please report it to Customer Care, it may help if you give them the table ID, you can find this at the top of the table, directly below the blue IE band, they should have copies of all the chat.
