i made a poor pre-flop raise and had no idea where i was in the hand. player makes 1/2 pot which i decide to call to see what he does on turn, see check so fire and he folds. i got away with it this time.
should you be looking to fold to these bets on the flop or is ok to do this sort of thing now and again?

I might just flat the stupid minraise pre, minraising him back is just strange lol. On the flop he makes a decent C-bet but IP you can make a call to see if he gives up which he did but I can't see why you were pot building preflop.

Yeh +1^^^^^^ pre flop is weird.

Only "call to bluff the turn" if you'e playing people that will actually fold.....

Not sure if you had the read or not? but this guy did fold.....so wp

i had no reads, one of those things where my head said fold and the left nut said call..and following my nutz usally gets me in trouble.

so would you always flat call in these situations with this sort of hand pre-flop?
