for what it worth i think the best way to fish out the best players to send over to vegas wsop is a point system over a 6 months bases .
 players must play over 300 mtts and giving points on finishing positions .
 all mtts must be deepstacks because of the structure in vegas .
these mtts must be available to all players stroke 2 pound or 5 pound mtts .

Interesting idea but don't think this would work. The attraction for players is being able to satellite in directly via one tournament structure. The whole Viva Vegas experience is one of excitement and immediacy. I think all sites run direct entry competitions and not league format entry systems. I won't claim to know the deep reasoning behind it, but I should think the main reason is simplicity and marketing.

hi rover . the first thing that came to mind when reading this was athletics . im enjoing watching the worldchampionship at the moment. i know that some countys ,that have the option to send 3 athlets  for a particular event will use the following criteria . the first one selected will be the one who has run , jumped etc. the seasons best upto a certain date.the second will be the one who wins the national championship . the third will be selected by the governing body.this could be someone ,who has performed at major events in the past and who is returning from injury or the second in the first two catogories. why not have something like this for poker. i must confess , that im not sure about the following but i believe that skypoker has sent 3 players to the wsop in the last 2 years and that they won there seat through qualifiying tournaments. why not  send one player who has been the best in the previous years mtts.the details of how this could work can be thrashed out.  would think there is room for both options.  ps. i will also support a third option . just pull a name out of a hat .offcourse only my name is in there.

Its a good shout but with things like this you will always get people trying to find a way to cheat the system. I do like the idea and think it is a better way of sending "skys best players" rather than the results of only 2 or 3 trnys. Everything that is run like that though can be open to abuse somehow, although i would like the idea as i see myself as more of a deepstack specialist than other tnrys :-)

This is a very good idea irish. Maybe it could be possible to run the satelites and have 1 place available for the person who performs best over the time scale allocated in the mtt deep stacks. Or maybe say the top 10 plyers with best average get put straight into the semi final and go from there. Certainly a interstin idea and 1 to keep an eye on 2 see wot other ppl,s thoughts are on this subjet, Ozzie

Its a fairly good idea but you have to think if a league system is run where does the prizepool for the £10k entry come from ? skimmed of each tourny or are you expecting free entry - Also some players wont even think about playing this low in terms of buy-in wise and i have to say i would probably be one.

IF you look at this years package winners

Nutter5932 normal stake £50+
Pokerbcity  normal stake £.50/1 £1/2 cash
Freelancer  normal stake £50+

and Dantb10/ Haysie are £50+ and 1/2 cash players

None of these would probably platy that fromat but its upto sky

I didn't say that at all - Some players who play lower stakes in my opinion are far better than some high stakes players.

I'm Just saying in order for a £2-5 buy-in league type thing to gain entry to the wsop would require

10 000 / 5 = 2000 players play it MINIMUM with no prizes for the tournaments either ! to get one package.

Can you see what i'm saying ? certainly on sky this is not possible with current player numbers so it just wont happen. Last years satelites were great and gave practically everyone the chance to get to Vegas. More than likely just a co-incidence everyone who got thier played "highstakes" for this particular site.

all  stakes are is bankroll only go for what u can aford or if u are going to be sponsorerd then the sponser will check your capabilities out first but high stakes players not better than small stake players

                   have been mulling over the obstacles that you would get from Sky Poker

   as far as low stake deepstack tourney obstacles go Tikay & Flashflush are helping to break that down

    at present

 Flashflush has just started a league for deepy's buy-ins between £3 & £10 his format struture is to work on averages & the success of this is gradually an increase in players which you can be sure skypoker will  keep an eye on 

 Tikay is advertising it all the time once sky poker sees that Deepstacks have a future on this site they will want as many SkyPoker players representing them as possible

   what does a Vegas package cost SkyPoker per player ?? no idea will leave that 1 for nutter5932 but i wanna run this by you what if

    SkyPoker could get WSOP to sponsor 2 places for top 2 of a league using Flashflush Format (see flashflush) over a ? months period 

   if WSOP refuse to help promote by way of sponsor 2 low stake champions then so be it but you have to give them 1st refusal
     i am sure there are loads & loads of Blue Chip Companies  who would consider promoting such an event as its never been done before (am sure sky already thought of that) must be some high rolling M.D. who love seeing the little guy get a break

  satalites would still go on as normal

   anyway probally needs a bit of tweaking but there's how i think it could work

   will be waitng for the obstacles & negs am ready to turn them into possitives
